1. Modern Warfare 2019

Simply has the best gameplay by far, as a whole package it is without a doubt the best Call of Duty ever made. The gunplay is the best of any first person shooter as of now, somehow still better than Modern Warfare 2022.

Campaign: Although the campaign as a whole isn’t better than CoD4 Modern Warfare or Black Ops 2, these missions mark the epitome of Modern Military Shooter:
-Piccadilly
-Clean House
-The Embassy
-Wolves Den (First Half)

Multiplayer: Best multiplayer experience I’ve ever had

Coop: not good not bad, passable. Biggest problem with this coop is you’re restricted to having 4 players which a lot of people won’t be able to experience.


2. Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare

Campaign: The game which influenced every other military shooter since. Epic campaign throughout.

Multiplayer: the best fast paced multiplayer experience at the time.


3. Black Ops 2

Campaign: Almost every mission was memorable, I still remember most of the campaign moments almost 10 years later. Amazing weapon customisation. Incredible story.

Notable missions:
- Celerium
- Cordis Die
- Judgement Day

Multiplayer: never played it at the time but I heard it’s good.

Coop: I don’t play zombies


4. Modern Warfare 2

Campaign: Decent campaign throughout with missions that are so memorable even more than a decade later.

-The Only Easy Day…Was Yesterday
-The Gulag
-Loose Ends
-Just Like Old Times

Multiplayer: I wish I played it more back in the day…

Coop: The Spec Ops was top notch, best 2 player coop I’ve ever experienced. The nostalgia…


5. Infinite Warfare

Campaign: The entire campaign was epic throughout. No extremely memorable moments like the above but incredible all the way to the end. Amazing weapon/gear customisation, fun gunplay - better than all previous releases.

Multiplayer: never played it

Coop: didn’t like it, wish they continued Extinction mode


6. Modern Warfare II (2022)

Campaign: It’s decent but not as memorable as Modern Warfare 2019. My problem with this campaign is it simply went nowhere. The quality and polish was superb but 5 years from now, I’m not gonna remember any campaign moments unlike Modern Warfare 2019’s Clean House and The Embassy.

The best missions from this campaign are:

-Kill or Capture
-Cartel Protection
-Dark Water
-Countdown

Multiplayer: The gunplay is superb, the sniping in this Call of Duty feels the most solid, even better than MW2019 however the SMGs feel like BB guns. The biggest problem with this multiplayer is the sheer amount of dumb non military skins. You have pink barbies, anime characters, rat skins, Easter bunnies and an entire season battlepass with dumb Halloween skins which ruin the immersion. Is it too much to ask for a mil-sim call of duty?

Coop: the 3 player raids are actually really good


7. Modern Warfare 3

Although Battlefield 3 was the superior game when they launched head to head, CoD knows how to do epic spectacles. Nothing beats the epicness of Hovercrafts, VTOLs and Helicopters converging to the shore from one of the missions. In some ways Modern Warfare 3 is better than 2 however at this stage a lot has been done before, the epicness is not original rather grander in scale.


8. Black Ops

Definitely have to recognise it had the best storyline, Woods, Mason and Hudson are iconic legends of the CoD franchise. The problem with this CoD is that it wasn’t fun to play at all.


9. Advanced Warfare

The best graphics for a call of duty game at the time. Great campaign but many of the epic moments have been done before in previous releases. Has one of the best gunplay for a CoD game.


10. Ghosts

Campaign: was great, had some great moments - it just wasn’t as good as the other infinity ward campaigns.

Multiplayer: Never played it but the Honey Badger alone puts it ahead of every non Modern Warfare Call of Duty

Coop: Extinction mode was by far the best coop mode of any CoD, it is so well made it could even be a standalone four player coop shooter.


11. Modern Warfare III (2023)


Campaign: Incredible opening mission but that's the only mission they put any effort in. The rest of the campaign was the laziest cash grab using assets from previous Call of Duty and you can clearly see no effort or care was put into this blatant cash grab. The Open Combat Missions were basically single player Warzone which was by far the dumbest idea ever.

The best missions from this campaign are:

-Operation 627
-Flashpoint
-Trojan Horse

Multiplayer: Nobody asked for a longer time to kill, this is why Sledgehammer should be fired immediately, these guys have no idea what they're doing.


12. Black Ops 3

In hindsight this was actually a decent Call of Duty. The campaign was okay, if some missions such as the one where you fight zombies and the final mission were removed it would be quite a good campaign.


13. Black Ops Cold War

The issue with this campaign was that it was so forgettable - I literally played it last year and I can’t remember anything memorable that happened in it. Gunplay however is superb, as a whole package it is decent.


14. World at War

This is how a WW2 game should be.


15. WW2

Literally cannot remember a single moment from the campaign. The graphics were superb and after 3 years of CoD trying to copy Titanfall, boots on the ground was much needed.

16. Black Ops 6

Easily one of the worst Call of Duty campaigns ever made despite being a superb first person shooter. The gunplay is up there with Modern Warfare 2019 however the campaign has zero memorable moments and quite frankly wasn’t even a military shooter despite being set in the Gulf War. As for the multiplayer, the sheer amount of gay non-military skins running around bring this right down to the bottom despite being a damn good first person shooter. Thank god for Game Pass.

17. Black Ops 4

No campaign, multiplayer was more of a hero shooter and I don’t play zombies. Worst package.

18. Vanguard

If you read the operator bio you will see it has some of the dumbest woke ♥♥♥♥ ever seen. It’s a real shame because this game is quite fun, the shooting is rock solid and the mission in the Pacific is up there among the best CoD moments. Wokeness has no place in gaming. If it’s a WW2 game it better be historically accurate, if its not then set it in an alternate reality like Wolfenstein. If there’s woke bs, it goes to the bottom of the list.
