I will start by saying I really love this game. It's a fantastic single player deck builder card game, many random elements but it's mostly skill based. You learn how to build a deck that flows well and eventually you'll be able to make some that can't be beaten (with a little bit of luck on your side). You fight bad guys, bosses, explore rooms by climbing floors and collect new cards, relics and potions to help you on your way.
That being said I really have had an issue with how the game is set up balance wise. For every Character in the game (3) there are about one or two different decks that can do just what I said. One or two very viable decks that can beat the tower no matter how hard your difficulty is set at. Other than that you're kind of stuck with a few deck archetypes which are fun, but not strong or viable enough to beat higher Ascension levels. If you can! It requires a good amount of luck with collecting relics on the side to support you.
That being the case, still a very fun and well thought out game. Would recommend for anybody who likes deck building time sinks.

I bought this game as soon as I saw it was on Steam. I spent many hours of my childhood trudging through the campaign, it was hard for me as a wee lad. But I loved every second of it. This game will always stand as a testiment to old Real Time Strategy games and their hold on me in my formative years. It's just as good as I remember it being, though now it's very dated. New RTS games have a lot more glitz and glamour, but this one has it's roots firmly planted. What blows my mind to this day is that it's one of the only games (certainly that I've ever heard of) that's put out an expansion pack 13, 15 and 16 years after the game had been put out (Forgotten, African Kingdoms and Rise of Rajas respectively)! With thousands of hours of replayability, this game can be played a hundred different ways. The newest 3 expansions even have different win conditions in some fo the missions! If you ever liked the genre, were a child in the early 90's or just want to study how games used to be, this game is for you. Teal is bad.

Well first off let me start by saying Kolechians might be reading this review, if you are, please seek the nearest police officer and turn yourself in for being a terrorist. That being said, I'm very proud to have the Ministry of Admission let me review this amazing and impeccable game. The graphics are amazing, lifelike even! The controls are fantastic, you can really feel the despair joy in your character's eyes as you march to work and fufill your duty to glorious Arstotzka. I've never seen such a game before. If you can afford this game with the MoA's meager generous paycheck, I'd say pick up this gem.
