A fantastic return to form on PC muddied by issues that can hopefully be remedied by Sledgehammer Games.

First and foremost - this game supports required PC features:

* FOV 50 - 100
* True raw mouse input
* manual leaning like the good ol' days
* fully rebindable keys
* graphics options and examples of what they change
* 250 FPS cap (yes that stupid 91 cap is gone, so for those who have 240Hz monitors rejoice!)
* Dedicated (not player hosted) servers running at a tickrate of 60 - similar to CSGO

So right off the bat we see a whole bunch of great stuff! Fantastic SHG, good on ya. Other great things to mention are the singleplayer experience (your standard brodude COD campaign but it's interesting at least, and there's some pretty cool missions like an under cover spy mission), Nazi zombies are back and better than ever (thanks to previous Dead Space developers!), and of course the multiplayer. A whole package.

Now here's the bad stuff:

* FOV resets every game start up, can be fixed via .ini tweaking though
* Netcode is extremely inconsistent, possibly still recovering from the awful launch (at least I hope this is the reason)
* Maps are a ♥♥♥♥ing travesty. Objective game modes make them bearable but still...
* Gustav Cannon. Yeah, it's a map but this map is so ♥♥♥♥ing bad it deserves its own spot. Whoever made and designed this map at SHG should be terminated immediately.
* Gun balance is awful. Familiar with 3arc games? Well wecome to yet again, Call of SMGs
* Headquarters is rushed and just unnecessary
* Hardcore play has less than half the game modes of core
* And a whole slew of not game breaking but very annoying bugs like classes resetting after every match.

All in all, I'd say if you're a COD fan, especially BOTG and not advancement movement, get this game. It's pretty damn good at times. Otherwise, I'd stay away. If you're curious, at least wait for a patch or two and check back.

Don't let all of the negative reviews fool you. Most of them are from people who despise Call of Duty and have only invested under an hour of play time saying the game is garbage. People have talked about performance issues, I haven't encountered one. I play at 4K with max settings and have had a stable 60 FPS with the exception of loading screens but that doesn't matter. This game is only the beginning to reviving Call of Duty on PC and I look forward to continuously playing this game moving forward because of how much fun i've had on it so far.
