Early Access Review
Definitely matches the feel of a rock and stone in my heart. Loving it so far. Can't wait to see what more is in store for this little game in it's EA period!

I got this when it still was free. Seeing now that you have to pay for it seems a bit greedy to be honest. It's a good game, but never seen anyone having to pay for explicit content that used to be free.

Like many others, I hoped and I believed this update would be a very nice one. Oh, I wrong I was.
I understand there would be bugs, there always is, but this was just TOO much.

I had a bugfree 4 hours before the waves suddenly came.

- My laser tool was suddenly pointing downward instead of being equipped in my hands (nothing serious, more fun)
- Some minor bugs with the power system. Power being spent too fast in contrast with the display of how long the power should last.
- I saw starships inside the Space Anomaly twisting and turning much more than they should (screenshot on my profile, very fun to watch)
- I walked into invisible walls at the Anomaly (quite irritating)
- I fell out of my spaceship during takeoff from the Anomaly (saved myself by quiting and re-entering the game, kept my stuff)
- At one point my spaceship wouldn't land on the surface and every planet was barren/my base was gone (exit and re-entering worked fine)
- The space charts..... oh the darn space charts. Found one facility and then nothing (1 out 9 found anything at all)

i've spent 203 hours on this game and all of a sudden, it's barely playable. Two of my friends had it more rough than me, but this is so bad. This update ruined the amazing experience I've had so far with the game.
At this point, its stupid they sell the game for half price when the bugs just keep coming for you like you're a monster. They should have done some testing before they rolled out this update.
I believe they will do something about this, I don't think they will leave the game like this, but it's damn frustrating when all of this destroys a already amazing game they've spent so many years on fixing.

Credit where credits due though, The Space Anomaly looks so epic now compared to earlier and also being able to use the chat and actually meet other players both in your game and on the Space Anamoly.

So after all this, I've gotta say: If you buy it for half price, wait for them to fix the game first. Not recommendable to play it before, unless you LOVE bugs.

Will most likely update the review, if they fix most of the bugs

25/08/2019:

Okay, I've seen some changes, and bugs fixed. Still, I have encountered a couple others that is also a major problem. This was during me playing alone and not with other people.

- Falling out of the freighter or suddenly clipping out and being on top of the freighter (almost died, but exited and re-entered the game again)
- When I harvest resources like copper/silver and other stuff, I might suddenly fall through the ground (haven't died yet though)

Nevertheless, I've seen several download queues the last few days, so I guessing they are working hard to flatten out these bugs.

12/06/2020:

Most of the bugs seems to have been fixed, and I've played an additional 42 hours, without experiencing many bugs. There was a few:
- Like this one, happened once earlier too: At one point my spaceship wouldn't land on the surface and every planet was barren/my base was gone (didn't exit now, but went into the Nexus, started a mission, warped to that particular system and back seems to also fix it)
- Some of the base you could suddenly see through.
And now, its just great. Time to find a Living ship and get a mecha!

Early Access Review
Sorry, but this is bad. I hope this game could be better, I hope they will do A LOT of work to recover from this, but right now, it at least seems impossible. I've backed it up for 2 years (not as long as others who write 4 years) and I really looked forward to this, but this will be one of my only negative reviews to date, cause its that bad.

Hopefully, you can get in on the first try but there's no guarantee that you will)
The first module (out of a total of 3) is plain boring, right now. There's almost nothing to do and the servers are rampaging too much. Out of 25 minutes, 5 of them have been in-game, running around. The rest is trying to just get in.

We'll see what future this game has, but if they want it stay alive, theres a lot to fix as of now. Cannot recommend in this current state.

Bought this game on sale. Did not expect this kind of marvelous journey. Storyline, artstyle, graphics, soundtrack... I have nothing bad at all to say about this game. Basically, it's just truly amazing.
Kind of short story though, but would definitely play it again sometime.

March '18:
I've got to say, this game is fantastic. Altough Early Access, the game is in perfect condition. The graphics, the humor, the color palette used for this game and of course, the gameplay itself. You like Minecraft? Sure, we've put in some digging for you. You like FPS? Go ahead, shoot those slimy scums. You like dancing? Of course, why else would they put in a jukebox for you?

I'm not gonna say it's the best game in the world and of course there some bugs here and there, but playing this game with friends has been a lot of fun. It's simplistic, but fantastic. I hope they keep the good work for this one!

November '18:
And the best part about this game is all the amazing, good quality of updates. The developers are highly active to squish those bugs that arrive and bring hot fixes faster than you imagine, along side giving us some very good updates that shows that they are listening to us (most of the time)

August '19:
These developers truly love their game so much, cause I really love everything about it. Yes, it does get repetitive, but that's also why this game is SO much more fun with friends. I really have nothing bad at all to say about this game. This has really grown on me during the Early Access and I always find myself jumping into this game.

To the developers: FOR KARL!

November '19:
Might as well nominate the game for Labor of Love, cause its that darn good

November '20:
Nominating for Better With Friends, cause the developers would like us to do that and I'm definitely going to it, because it is really good with friends (but also strangers in my opinion).
Even after three years.

November '21:
I will yet again nominate this game for Labor of Love award. The "Battle Pass" they released in Season 1 is amazing, and the best thing is that it's totally free. I haven't seen a game before with just a free battle pass. This game is amazing. ROCK AND STONE

April '23:
heir 5 Year Anniversary was truly nice! Making the Space Rig look all golden and shiny with some smooth Jazz music in the background. It came to a point where I now miss the Jazz music after two weeks with it. And the best part, they listened to fans yet again, making the Legacy version stay forever, when they could've easily taken it away. These devs deserve all the Rocks and Stones they can get!

November '23:
Yet another year, yet another hope that this game will snatch the Labor of Love award. Rock and stone!

May '24: Guess what? You don't need a PSN account to play this! :D

December '24: Another Labor of Love, LFG!

Early Access Review
Been playing this game since early alpha and this game never seizes to amaze me. The realistic sence of this game is really good. It takes a bit of learning, but once you get into it, it's really good (if you consider games such as Minecraft to be good, just much more realism in both graphics and gameplay).
