No matter how much money, manpower or time Behaviour has, they will always find a way to release completely broken paid content. Literally first match I had playing this killer its power completely bugged out so I wasnt able to use it. To be fair it was a good representation of the killer cuz even when the power works (which is rare) it doesnt do anything.

10/10 remake for me. Besides some small technical issues the game is everything and in some aspects a bit more than I have hoped for. Shame that the OG Silent Hills arent available for purchase, but this is a fantastic alternative.

40 bucks to not even get all the season 1 content. Straight up scam, best to stay away from anything and everything Bamco unless heavily discounted.

Played through it in coop with a friend, not expecting much and got blown away. The gameplay might not be anything special and certain bugs are annoying, but the writing and especially the worldbuilding are just on another level. One of very few games that made me genuinely laugh multiple times. Combine that with a 10/10 soundtrack and you get this banger.

70€ for 10+ year old netcode, prehistoric bugs and still no type of anti cheat or punishment for cheaters/pluggers/smurfs/etc. Instead of doing anything constructive the past couple of years they spend their time gimping the customization mode so they could implement a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ microtransaction shop weeks after the reviews our out.

UPDATE:

Played another 50h and in that time they managed to NOT fix the plugging issue, add a battle pass and ruin stage interractions. Hopefully the devs wake up, otherwise this game wont survive to see a year 2.

2nd UPDATE (23. April):

You gotta give it up to Bamco, no other team is as creative as they are with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ up their own game. Out of nowhere they decided to stealth update the matchmaking resulting in insanely long waiting times and/or you playing the same 2-3 people over and over again.

3rd UPDATE (16. June):

A lot of the same criticisms remain like the change to the matchmaking and really lazy and scummy monetization, but I gotta give credit where its due. The most recent patch fixed a lot of core issues when it comes to gameplay, buffed up defense and reduced the effectiveness of mashing. Homing throws are gone as well which makes the game much more enjoyable. Character balancing is mostly hit, with a bit of miss, but no game as complex like this will ever be perfectly balanced so we cant really expect the impossible. Yeah, I think this is actually a good time to get into the game.

4th UPDATE (01. July)

If you ever wonder whats happening with Tekken? The answer is nothing. After breaking matchmaking and performance the devs decided their job is done and to only ever release some moronic avatar skins every couple of weeks. Very hard to find matches and when you do it will alwas be the same 2-3 people the game matches you up with. Netcode is a joke in 2024, no anti cheat so macro users, pluggers, etc. are running rampant, while BAMCO makes a twitter post every month pretending they banned someone. Sad to see a promising game fall that fast, but only the greed of the publisher and/or the incompetence of the devs can be blamed for it.

5th UPDATE (01. April) - Season 2

This is just a massive joke. Like I genuinely think this might be it for Tekken 8. Dont see how they can recover from this atrocity without starting over completely fresh.

Game should have never been released in such a state. Performance is much worse compared to previous versions and it introduced insane amounts of new bugs. Half the promised features arent in it either.

No horror game since Silent Hill 2 has hit the spot quite like this one has. Great gameplay, story, music, artstyle,... Everything I wish for in videogames and art in general.

Horrible, horrible game. Starts out pretty fun, in a campy kind of way, but loses all of its momentum half way through. Some of the worst level and boss design I have seen in videogames in general. The port as well is a joke. You have to patch it yourself and afterwards you still roll the dice everytime you turn it on if its gonna work or if you are going to run into a game breaking bug every 15min of gameplay.

Very very dissapointing killer. With the removal of his voicelines (that they advertised all untill release) he lost all the character he had. Now he is just a slowly plodding killer with an underwhelming power that most often than not relies on a couple OP addons instead of any type of skill.

Fantastic way to spend half an hour if you enjoy narrative experiences. Especially, of course, if you are a fan of horror and Lovecraft in particular. Dont see a reason why anyone, with even the tiniest bit of interest would skip this.
