Minecraft if you made it 2D, essentially, although there are differences. Greater weapon variety. Lots of bosses and different enemy types. NPC characters to interact with that help you get stronger.

Ten years of free additional content for just as many dollars (or even less on sale)!

No reason not to add it to your library if you enjoy sandbox adventure games.
