"Demonic invasion in progress" over the loud speaker sums this game up well. Superb action game, but it requires you to play it the right way to have the most fun: make use of the environment, switch weapons, use glory kills for a health boos. Have yet to finish the game, but have been playing on Ultra Violence difficulty.

I've put about 40 hours into this game on the Switch and its fantastic. The game has a steep learning curve, but even the hardest moments rarely feel unfair - its almost always down to personal skill and perserverance and tenacity. The sound track is amazing and the music in the City of Tears is haunting.

Wolfenstein: The New Order is well made single player shooter, with a pulpy, but well executed story. It has optional stealth mechanics (you can go in all guns blazing, but it results in additional enemies to fight).

Graphics overall are good, but some of the textures are bit low res, despite it being nearly 50GB on disk.

Definitely recommend.

Note: if you use ESDF controls you will need to muck about with the config files in order to use the vehicle in Chapter 10.

Its a good open world shooter, with probably a few too many collectable macguffins, leveling system OK but the game opened up for me once the majority of the skills were unlocked. The Outpost side objectives punish you for not using stealth, which makes it hard to go in guns blazing. Good antaganist.
