World 4 has been nothing but a middle finger to the players. It started off with some of the most overpowered purchases in the game straight up with release. Most recent patches have nerfed w4 skills to where if you haven't exploited mechanics or whaled on the purchases early on you're now even further behind in a way that's unrealistic to catch up. If you haven't started playing this game, don't.
