Surprisingly attentive devs. It's survived this long because of the constant changes and community feedback. It is really impressive how far this game has come from Alpha. Great work not being Day Z! Also always goes on sale for dirt which is lovely

22 hours for nothing my lord ♥♥♥♥ is brutal
Every zombie crit on my main guy with full hp, time to restart.
I really liked DA1 so I wishlisted and bought this on release, but everything about this game feels boring

There are no stakes, I care about none of these people. In the original, you are fighting to protect and improve your own camp, and deeply care about your party members. I couldn't give less of a ♥♥♥♥ about Leonardo or whoever else just happened upon my camp. They are nothing but a bundle of stats I do not want to grind for again.
There is no personal want for the player, your character just decides to help everyone for the sake of it. You are constantly running back and forth solving random peoples problems.
Almost everyone you go to save is already dead and the letters are pretty dumb.

(The constant sounds of eating and drinking are disgusting...)

You don't really have a choice for the quests, you have to help everyone or you're progression locked.
The game is hard, but never in an engaging or fun way. Everything is tedious.
I do appreciate the different clothes and weapons showing on my character, but there are barely any.
Different factions having a bit different gear to purchase and the military having the biggest base is pretty cool. Though I wish each faction had its own "standing" icon for quests so you know more clearly who you are helping.

Again, the 'choices' never feel like a choice. Option A: A skill check that gives you some xp and maybe loot. If you fail, you fight Option B: You fight with absolutely no difference from failing option A. There is no decision here, always choose the skill check because there is never any consequences to anything you do. If you are "Taking them by surprise" Instead of trying to sneak, let us feel like we are really taking the initiative in the fight!
Don't make a bloody game where the main pull is choices, if you aren't going to put any actual decisions. Why do I have to help every survivor I see? It is not engaging.
I could actually go on forever, not an awful game, but there really is no drive for the player, other than to beat a difficult game. Maybe that's enough for some people, enjoy.

In response to the dev... There are more gameplay elements added for sure. My argument is that the first game in the series was fun without them. And this one is boring with them. You added difficulty and more gameplay elements, by removing the stakes and engaging characters. This was a very harsh criticism by a fan of your work, thank you for reading, responding and taking notes from it. I look forward to DA3 :)

Good memories, try a $20-40 sequel, you'll find a ton of nostalgic players.

The most satisfying game I have ever played. The music is a bop, and the aesthetic is so pleasing. Everything about Dicey Dungeons just feels so good to play, recommending this to anyone who enjoyed Slay the Spire or any of the deckbuilder games that were inspired by it, and if you haven't, I would say this is likely the best entry point into the genre. So pleased with this $6 purchase
