I really like this game; for a Persona gacha spin-off, the story and characters are actually pretty good.

However, they have gotten way too greedy with the Global release.

They are rapidly releasing limited character banners to catch Global up, without increasing in-game rewards/currency to pull for these banners. For example, two weeks into Global's life we already had 3 separate 5-star character banners.

In the Chinese release, one of these characters was added to the standard banner immediately afterwards. SEGA has already claimed that this will not be the case for the Global version. [Edit: As of the 1.2 livestream, this character will now not be added to standard banner until at least 6 months into Global's lifespan. This will presumably be the case for future characters as well.]

I understand wanting to accelerate updates to get Global on par with the Chinese version, but if you want people to care about new characters getting added it has to be somewhat feasible to obtain those characters without spending ridiculous amounts of money.

Aside from that, the Global version has worse login rewards and maintenance compensation in general.
They have fixed this. Global maintenance compensation is now equal to the Chinese version, and we get limited banner pull tickets in login rewards.

If you're okay with playing this game F2P just to enjoy the story, go for it. I will probably continue to play, but I will definitely no longer be spending money on this.

An incredibly well done modern take on "classic turn-based JRPG" paired with real-time combat elements in the form of dodging and parrying enemy attacks. Every component - the story, the gameplay, the music, the visuals - comes together to create a fantastic experience that perfectly exemplifies what a small development team is capable of when they have passion for the game they are making.

This is one of those games where the less you know about it before you play it, the more wild of an experience it'll be.

An absolute must-play for fans of previous Atlus games, and worth a try for fans of turn-based fantasy RPGs in general.

I wish using the toilet on days that ended in '0' and '5' gave me +1 to luck in real life.

Saw it described as "Metroid x Outer Wilds" and instantly purchased it. 100% worth it.

You have to explore and obtain new tools to access new areas, like a common metroidvania.

However, there are hidden mechanics the game doesn't directly tell you about.

Discovering a new way to use one of your tools and being able to access new areas because of that knowledge is what really makes this game excellent.

Excellent PSX/N64-style metroidvania with really fluid movement abilities.

A unique mystery game that made my brain hurt in the best way. Correctly solving the crew members' fates was extremely satisfying.

Finished this game on Gamepass, then bought it on Steam.
It knows what it is and doesn't try to be anything else. Pure fun, no bullcrap.
Games like this deserve to be played and loved.
