Two games I never thought I'd see released again outside of my childhood. Both are very much underrated gems! I will say the gameplay is fairly simple in terms of RPG mechanics, but it more than makes up for it when it comes to its world and vibes. The characters are charming, the setting is cozy. There's so much flavor in the world, Party members will chime into random NPC conversations or comment on props on the map and they account for quite a lot of situations in that regard. It's really cool!

My personal preference: I much prefer the sequel over the original. There's a lot of generic tropes for the plot beats and characters of the first game. Don't read me wrong, I don't think the first game is bad by any means! Its still incredibly charming, I just feel it's sequel took what was there and improved on it in every way in terms of gameplay, plot and characters!

It's good we're finally getting some of the more solid entries. I pray it's successful enough for more!

Early Access Review
Insane potential, I can't wait to see what a full release with all planned content looks like. I'm 37 hours in at this point and I still have a lot to dig into!

Great game! Story is engaging and the mechanics keep you engaged for a while. Unfortunately, they really only hold up for the first twelve hours of game-play, then you realize your only halfway done. It becomes a bit of a chore, which might be on purpose though maybe I'm giving too much credit to the devs there. The story beats tend to come very slow which is my biggest issue since that was what was keeping me in for the long haul, It would be a much better game cut in half with the story beats being much closer together.

I recommend it, but probably when it's on discount unless you can endure the length.

Don't go in expecting Roadwarden 2. This is a remake of the game prior to Roadwarden, In the same setting. It's a good look at day to day village life in the setting. If you wanna extra story or just want to see more from the setting, I can recommend it.

Fantastic, Liked it enough to run through it multiple times and nab all the achievements for it. I can strongly recommend it if you're looking for a adventure game that doesn't try to use combat mechanics to prop up mediocre writing and storytelling.

Persona 3 FES is a game that was important to me back when I was a kid. It helped shape my aesthetics and was overall a game that changed my life, (albeit not dramatically). So it's only natural I'd pick up this up soon as I heard it was coming out.

I'll preface this by saying. I love what Reload does. It genuinely enhances the story in every way it can, From the new cutscenes to the new character link events that flesh the characters and world out further. All of these are very much welcome additions to the story and it's what makes me love this version the most. It's almost like I'm re-experiencing the story for the first time again with the amount of new story content they've made.

The combat is a good deal more fluid now, They bring in the baton pass from Persona 5 in the form of shifting and they introduce Theurgies which are basically limit breaks.

While this may make the combat a lot more fluid and in-depth, I do think this affects the difficulty, I can't say I've died much at all in comparison to FES. Though oddly, they didn't bring back the weapon swapping from FES, So you can't have your lead character use for example: Yukari's Bows or Ken's Spears instead of the default sword weapons. It's a minor thing but it's a feature I personally miss.

The biggest hit against this game for me is the music. A lot of tracks are just not as punchy as they were in the original games. The new tracks are great but most of the old iconic tracks just don't hit as hard as they did before. I had hoped we could change them back to their original forms without mods, but that doesn't seem the case unless they release future DLC for it. Of course, this is mostly my own tastes here and yours might vary on this.

If you were a fan of the original, I highly recommend you play Reload. If my complaints have clued you in, its faults are minor and really all amount to your own personal taste. If you think you'll like it, you most likely will.

Cendrillon is incredibly busted in this pack. She comes with "Slash Driver" Which increases slash damage by 75% and is innate to her. With the right setup, the Scarlet Havoc Thergy scales off the boost and becomes more powerful than Armageddon by a long shot, to the point of instantly killing the Reaper on Merciless difficulty. Johanna is similarly busted for similar reasons due to "Strike Driver".

You'll get use out of the personas in this pack, but they might affect the balance of your game if you use them. That's my only warning.
