Blood Angels but no weapon cosmetics, no Assault champion (I get White Scars over many of the other factions, but really? Over Blood Angels AND Raven Guard?) Excellent armor options except for the helmet (At least I am closer to making my apothecary I guess.) Ultimately disappointing but now my Death Company has the proper red 'X'

This game is incredible, thematic and engaging both to players unfamiliar to 40k and those who are invested in the universe. The campaign is thrilling with many excellent and memorable moments. The operations are the real meat of the content and handled fantastically especially with the new Siege mode release (though I do wish it kept to a single enemy type throughout the experience.)

The only detractor is the PvP being some of the worst I have ever seen. It feels like it was cobbled together at the last minute with little thought given to balance even after some of the 'balance' updates they have done for it. Spawn zones are handled very poorly and gameplay in PvP is incredibly inconsistent with melee weapons miraculously missing, a knife being able to trade equally with a thunder hammer, and my gods the desync kills around walls which has only been exasperated by the amount of times you'll be in a match with several people with ping in the 300's.

Using the windows login credentials to manage logins for this game is the most dog water idea ever, second only to games that use EasyAntiCheat, the worst trashware I've ever seen.

There aren't enough words in the lexicons I know to convey what a wonderful experience this game was. Any attempt I would make would fall short. There's something about the feedback the game gives you to being on the beat that just feels so satisfying, and everything just feels right when you start to feel the rhythm. And the songs are outstanding, I specifically enjoyed the streamer mode not just for what it does for content creators but also for the sheer quality they produced, Too big to fail was easily my favorite until the awesome back to back Reflection / Surfacing. Absolutely killer game, played it twice on normal and rhythm master now I'm working to 100% it, might update the review then.

Before this morning I would have recommended the absolute hell out of this game. After the bugs I've encountered in under an hour of playtime this morning? Definitely cannot recommend. To list a few, I get locked out of calling in strategems. I could call them in for the first few minutes and then when trying to reinforce I realize the game was no longer accepting my input for strategems at all, none of the directionals. It resolved itself simply by failing that mission and then it worked on the next, why did it happen? Who knows. Shortly after that I started running into the terminid spewers who would begin to fire their acid straight ahead, but it began to follow me when I dive to the side of them, spraying out of... the sides of their bodies? I guess their mouths just extend that far down their torso I'm not an entomologist or some nerd ♥♥♥♥. Not to mention the charger that pinned me into a corner where I had just called in an autocannon sentry on that new mission type, and then survived the pod with the autocannon sentry landing on it, continues to stand there which just by being there it destroyed the sentry that fell on its head. At least that issue I managed to survive.

I've been playing on 7-9 difficulty for a while and experienced plenty of bugs and issues that unintentionally (or intentionally) made the game harder but for some reason today, the game decided to whip out all the bugs on me back to back and that's more than enough to kill the enjoyment of the game real quick.

Once they've addressed some of these issues I'll gladly give this game the positive review it truly deserves. Just needs a bit more democracy.

Cyberpunk 2077 despite it's rough launch issues (that not everyone experienced admittedly) was an INCREDIBLE game. It had an amazing story to tell and so much going for it in many different ways and with the update for 2.0 I was more excited then ever.

Except after the update when I made a new game I am now crashing at the same point each time. The first time I have to go into my apartment to sleep, the game will do the slow fade to black and then goes to straight black and crashes. I did have mods so I uninstalled them and re-verified integrity of game files but still I am crashing every time. A Friend mentioned he had to spam C key to skip the cutscene so I tried this as well to no avail. After a fresh reinstall I'll see if I can give the game a recommendation but until then I'll have to go against the game on the basis that this shouldn't be problem with an update this far after release.

Early Access Review
T-20 days until release. I have already put 140 hours into this game and uncovered a good chunk of the first bit of playable content. This is the game I have waited 20 years for and I am in NO way disappointed.

Update.

93 hours. I put 93 hours into a single play through of this game and received some of the most rewarding payoffs for any investment in fantasy I've ever had. I have never reached such ephemeral yet heavenly heights and such a melancholy low - a melancholy low that is subdued by me starting my second play through on tactician difficulty. I shouldn't be surprised considering how great Larian studios is at making lovely well-thought out characters and inspired story telling, yet they completely blew my expectations out of the water, or space, or whatever medium your conceptual vessel eases through.
For nearly 300 hours of entertainment spanning mostly from early access - I think it's impossible for me to give this game a bad review. A 20 year wait for a sequel, and it has paid off - gloriously.

Update 2

350 hours. I'm at 350 hours into this magnificent masterpiece, I've finished my main playthrough, I have 2 multiplayer play throughs with friends (planning a 3rd with mods.) and I have 2 more congruent single player playthroughs as Astarion and Dark Urges. I was not disappointed - more narration, more dialogue options, unique cinematic sequences. Please send help for I fear soon I will no longer be consuming the game, the game will consume me.

This game has both maintained my sanity during a trying time and also absolutely destroyed it. After beating the game three times, I still have 2 ongoing playthroughs, and yet another planned in a two man super run through. There are, of course, things that feel the same it is not immune to that, but you still can find new golden pieces of dialogue, and unique narration based on which origin you've chosen and so many different things to play around with - One playthrough isn't enough, two definitely isn't, and I doubt three will completely kill my craving for this game and the amazing stories told within.

Update 3 - 450 hours.

450 hours in, the last 50 of which were in an honor mode game I was tied way too closely to personally which I CAN NOT recommend. Do not get attached to the 'story' of your honor mode. Expect it to go horribly wrong with nothing done wrong from your end. Expect to get completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ by bugs because Larian still has completely game/story altering issues that they haven't fixed - I'll be going into further detail below so spoiler warning for the second half of Act 2 below. . .

I died from falling, in the shadowfell. A place where you have a buff that prevents fall damage. OF course this didn't matter, the game simply acted like the jump I took down to the platform where the nightsong was instead was actually abyss and instantly killed my character. A moment later, Shadowheart jumped down to follow but DIDN'T die - would that she had because instead she instantly goes into the cut scene with the Nightsong that YOU have NO control over. Pan to me frantically switching characters to karlach in hopes that I can revive my character and still redeem the moment jumping into the conversation but no that's not how it goes. So Shadowheart kills the Nightsong on my good playthrough, plunging Last Light Inn into Darkness and leaving me no allies for my final push into Moonrise - completely uprooting all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good I had done along the way. 50+ hours of work for nothing to a bug. Is this game incredible still? Yes absolutely, you should definitely play it. Would I recommend Honor mode? No, it's completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid and because of bugs and the 'challenge' of not being able to renege on any actions taken, you will be forced into circumstances your character wouldn't get into and punished as if it was your choice.

I find myself surprised again and again by how much fun I can have returning to such a simple game each time. And I haven't even started trying the other races for challenge runs yet. Every dollar spent on this game and it's DLC is absolutely worth it whether you'll play it alone or with friends.

Do you enjoy terrible RNG bullet spray that allows you to not get hit markers on a dead center aim from 4 meters because shotguns are "random" but people using the same gun can one shot you from 14 meters without any special ammo? How about awful server desync that allows players from other servers to get favorable results from ping difference? Or even a burst-fire gun with recoil so awful the first shot is on target and the next is a full inch above them on the screen, yet some people can fire it with seemingly no recoil? (Pro-tip, never aim down sight with the avtomat, only fire from hip.) If you answered yes to the above questions, congratulations this might be a game for you.

I love this game, I really do. It's so aesthetically pleasing and fills a nice niche of gameplay - the balance between staying silent to remain undetected and having to try and push forward before the enemy players can get the bounty and dark sight advantage it's incredible honestly. But holy ♥♥♥♥ is this some terribly executed ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. If I could get a refund for every dime I spent on this game right now, I would. The last few months have become unbearably painful to try and play between people from other regions essentially teleporting or simply not having hits register, and how inconsistent the weapons are in the game not even getting into the mess that is melee combat. I even have my doubts about the sound engine as I've had people come within 10 feet of me without making a single sound, yet they apparently know exactly where I am through a wall while crouch walking.

This game is a mess, when it's not being clunky it is a blast, but with the issues I've mentioned I couldn't recommend it to anyone that wants a game to play consistently because that is one thing it is not - consistent.

Update part 2.

They haven't fixed any of the issues I've experienced before. In fact it may only have gotten worse with the server side issues. Today I got terrible matchmaking. (Seriously, why even have an MMR system if you consistently group with people in a higher tier team average than your own?) and when my friend disconnected and I had to hold off a duo while he tried to reconnect (For over 5 minutes of load time because the servers are trash.) I killed one, died to the other (Because his bullets penetrated the fence where mine couldn't. Thanks uppercut.) and he began to burn my body. My friend finally was close to loading in, my body was burning and as soon as the option for me to spectate him (though he wasn't back in yet.) he was killed. The best part was after that it completely bugged my game and I couldn't type anything in anywhere (trying to file a report against a player - mostly to write an angry message to the games support - or trying to search for specific guns in the arsenal or outfit. Seriously, they keep churning out more content without fixing long running bugs and issues. Moneymongers/10

Update 3

Against my better judgement I have put even more time into this game. And the issues are still happening while they keep money mongering. Today I made some excellent plays, managed to 1v3 and kill 2, steal a bounty revived one of my teammates who had his health chunks and then go to another teammate who was burned out. I lose 2 chunks and the revive circle was full. I do it again until I get down to no HP and he just never revives - instead we get pushed and I die because I had no HP and my ally never got revived. ♥♥♥♥/10 time for another uninstall until my friends convince me a few years later.
