Funny card game.

Do you recommend this game?
If there was a ~maybe button, id go with that, instead ill go with yes because no sounds too harsh for something i had fun in

Is it the best game of the year?
Definitly not.
Is it the best game that came out that year that i have played?
Absolutly. Because i havent played any other title that came out this year.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ what a ride. Not the game. Everything else surrounding it.
Today i finished the main story of Cyberpunk 2077, after not touching the game for 2 weeks straight. I took my break exactly 1 mission away from the finale, and that probably ruined the flow abit, but overall the finale wasnt that insanely good anyways.

Im horrible at reviewing anything, because i feel like my approach to games / anime and similar is quite different and judging something if its good is just not something i feel ready for. Therefor, have some simple ooga booga questions that i answer, and make up your own mind whether or not you will like cyberpunk or not.

Q: Is Cyberpunks World and athmosphere as spectacular as everyone says?
100%. In fact, i have never seen a game (or movie) world so vast and filled with stuff. It looks incredibly good on high end settings, and probably made me enjoy the same scenery for atleast 10 hours straight even tho i drove past it countless times.

Q: Is the game as buggy as everyone complains it to be?
Yesnt. Bugs in general? Yes absolutly. Flying cars, vanishing Npcs and people stuck in a wall / floor right after cutscenes happen. Often. I find that sort of stuff funny, and i dont think i ever had to restart something or go out of my way to fix something in order to progress something. Gamebreaking Bug wise? Unsure how much you Tolerate. I died quite a few times due to something completely out of my control. Examples include Barrels randomly popping up and exploding because an enemys shot that was directed at me hits it, cars suddenly appearing infront of me and knocking me and my Bugatti Ripoff into 10 pedestrians making me a wanted criminal and sending the absolutly broken Police at me. U see, i get much more mad at myself when dying because i suck balls at something, than when the game unfairly kills me. That doesnt mean i would just forgive cyberpunk for it tho. Since the game rarely autosaves, it happens that i die to said magic barrel, and have to play through 2 minutes of dialogue again, which is just annoying and kills story pacing.

Q: Is performance ♥♥♥♥?
If your pc is, yes. I rock a RTX 2070 Super, and can play the game at ultra settings and FHD with about 90-100 fps. This was also the first time i tried ray tracing ingame. It does make the game look better, but its not worth it for me to sacrifice ~40-50 fps for shiny lights. Cool for screenshots, terrible for gameplay. I cant imagine a pc with something like a 1060 or even 1070 running this game at quality settings tho.

How many hours will i get out of this game?
Highly depends on your playstyle. You can finish the main story in 20 hours or less probably, but that excludes literally everything cyberpunk is made for. Side quests, random encounters, exploring the bomb ass city. I did alot of exploring and leveling my character despite normally opting for the speedrun way in other single player games, because it invites you to it alot.

Q: Biggest flaws in your opinion?
Gameplay choices make quite alot less impact than what i expected. There are a few choices that decide uppon your future in the current playthrough, but i was expecting ALOT more of that.
Weapon scouting / Abilities are completely pointless. I have no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue why i would spend the time to level up alot for some skillpoints, most of the skilltree is hella pointless. There are some skills that give you extra options ingame, but most skills are just "increase pistol damage by x %) which is even more useless if you find some melee weapons or those mantis blades, which are so broken that you wont need any other weapons anymore. If your weapon isnt suited for your level anymore, upgrade it in the crafting menu. If that becomes to expensive after a while, im sure you found atlesat 50 alternatives that outperform your original by alot anyways, and you can begin the crafting process again. Special weapons have hardly any impact. Once you find a good sniper rifle you once shot everything with a good heady, once you get the mantis blades, you just slice everything in pieces and combat against humans becomes a joke.

Would you recommend the game?
No if you are a wannabe game critic and over analyse everything in games or value quality alot.
Yes if you want to experience the coolest looking, best feeling game world in the past 10 years, or ever, and enjoy some bold shooting, killing, riding a dope car and having sex with npcs because you cant irl.

The crew 2 is allready out yet you decided to go for the first one. Good, from what ive heard its the better game anyways.

Story

I mean its a racing game what do you expect. Its quite meh, characters are even more meh and overall its the typical "you are the only one capable of defeating this and that + a brother avenge me" storyline. Nothing special, nothing new.

Gameplay

Fun! I like arcade racing games. I like open world games. And i like beeing able to choose from a big variety of cars i will never be able to afford! The racing is good, the handling feels nice and rubber banding is as present as in many other racing games. Nothing to hard in this game as far as i can remember so yeah. Solid yet not too serious.

Progression

Now this is where i have my split opinion. On one hand i like the upgrading system and progression in this game. You unlock parts for your car by practically doing what ever you would normally do (like stunts, drifts, mini events and challanges) and are able to upgrade your car while driving. Its a neat concept but it lacks depth. There are a couple mini events you can grind to get your car to max level and make it practically overpowered as ♥♥♥♥.
However when it comes to events and races, its quite fun. Sure a race is a race and getting from point a to point b was never truly exciting but hey, you are playing a racing game. Thats what you pay for.
There are multiple variants of cars you need in order to compete in all levels, so you have more then just one flagship car that you need to upgrade and grind for. At first this may keep your longterm motivation up but at the end of the day it doesnt. In my 20 hours of gametime i think i achieved pretty much everything. I even did a 1:30 hour race. It was SUPER boring but whatever.

Multiplayer

You are never alone in this world. And still its quite lonely. The map is gigantic. So even with 40 people in the server you BARELY see anyone unless you go to some major city or take part in an event. I had no problem with that as i am a lone wolf in open world racing games all the time, but for some that may be abit boring.

Conclusion

It was on my wishlist for an eternity and when it went on sale i finally gave it a shot. I enjoyed it alot in the first 19 hours and as soon as i hit the end of the road in terms of progression i instantly lost interest. The Dlcs are garbage btw. At this point id much rather go for a Forza Horizon game that offer alot more, has a consistant player base and is newer too. Havent played it yet, but im planing to do so soon.

Atleast the achievements and the music are worth the money....

TL;DR: Fantastic sound track, good typing training, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of achievements, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ block mode that makes 0 sense and is not fun at all, buy it in the sale for 90 cents like i did....


You have to know that i like the slash it series. Played slash it 1 on a friends pc, bought slash it 2 and now slash it ultimate. Its great for getting achievements and improoving typing speed with the word mode. In Ultimate you have even more modes available and the mouse mode is probably a good aim training for fps shooters. However as much as i love the achievements and the money and the training, some modes piss me off so hard because its ridiculously hard and dumb. Numbers Alphabet (in German) and Block mode are downright ♥♥♥♥ and unfair. Nobody ever uses numbers that much, the block mode is complete trash and the Alphabet in german uses Ä,Ö,Ü,ß way too often. They are so rarely used, that even the most advanced typers are literally searching them on the keyboard. No fun. Also im still not a fan of the entire stage to reset to the blue color if you make one mistake. Get rid of my streak of course, but the color change is pretty frustrating.

because train surving isnt fun anymore

Yup you heard right. Hopping from truck to truck is now a thing. And its actually fun! well until you get to the point where lasers hunt you down and trucks not only drive directly into your face, no they actually fall from the sky aswell...

So what is clustertruck? Well its quite self explanatory. You hop from truck to truck, trying to reach the goal at the end of each level. There are multiple worlds with mutliple levels, getting harder with every level. You will realise that the levels get more and more ridiculous but hey....its a truck hopping train with a wolrd called "lasers". What did you expect?
Since im not a man of many words, here are some epic numbers: 1, 45, 33, 91, 666, 42

Gameplay:
Not to hard not the easy. Just right to be honest. It takes time to master some harder levels and i guarantee you, that you will need several tries on some, but overall....doable. The endboss level however yes there is an endboss #spoileralert is pretty darn hard....and i have to say i raged here and there. Not sure if i ever gotten to beat it. 9/10

Story:
Boy this game is about train surving Truck edition....there aint no story! 0/10

Price/reward:
Buy it in a sale. Then its totally worth it. I personally would not shell out 15 bucks for it. 5 is a good price, and at the moment of writing this it even is 5 bucks. 5/10

Addictive?
Depends on your taste of games. If you like jump and run/casual games...yes. There is a community page with a sh*tton of levels ready to be played for you, but the main levels are done quite fast. I completed them all, and got to play a few community levels. 7/10
