The best From Soft imo, not as hard/unforgiving as DS so if you want to start somewhere, I think Elden Ring is a good one. A real lesson in rewarding exploration and curiosity in open-world games.

Very well executed fast-FPS and tons of fun to have in co-op, a hidden gem imo

There is potential for a cool mix of exploration, survival and turn-based mechanics to come together in a cool fantasy setting that's also reflecting our real struggles with climate at the moment

I was thrilled by the art style and the theme as a huge Sekiro fan.
I wasn't expecting difficulty like in a From Software but still had high hopes to get my hands on a good samurai sword fighting system with swift and deadly strikes.

I stopped playing after an hour because of 3 main things:
- Not a fan of the LD and camera work of the game, camera angles can bring cinematic feeling sometimes but most often, it's just confusing to navigate the LD and I always felt weird trying to guess where I could walk and where I'll hit an invisble wall
- As a narrative and cinematic experience, the game falls short imo. Realisation is not great, character animations are not smooth and overall realisation feels a bit clunky (or at least not as polished as you would expect for how the game present itself). I didn't get through the story but the first minutes are very bland, you know nothing of the characters and they all fell very "typical". Your a typical hero with a typical master protecting a generic village from generic bandits, not that exciting..
- But the main reason I stopped is... THE GAMEPLAY. I realised in the first minutes of fighting that parries are basically very easy to do, making them the safest option in fights. With all enemies telegraphing their strikes and waiting in queue to come and hit you, fights basically boil down to waiting for an attack, parry, counter, rinse, repeat. The game teaches you a lot of cool combos to pull off but they all basically do the same and enemies often attack right after taking a hit, making offensive manoeuvre more risky.

Early Access Review
Artistic direction is original but lacking quality in execution
Gameplay is basically a copycat of Dead Cells with bad game feel on movement and fight
Progression is very very confused and from what I can see, will require heavy grinding
Level design and proc gen are very quickly redundant

If you're looking for another Dead Cell or Hades to pour time into, this is not the one unfortunately

Clearly not a game that will attract everyone but if you are attracted by the first looks of the game, know that it's brilliantly realised and that this story is worth your time and money

The game is getting really repetitive, really quick... The inventory system is horrible, only 10 slots when you have to carry weapons, armor and ammo is not plausible. Ennemies just come in line except for some special ones. I know it is a rogue-like and rogue-likes are strong by the variety in the runs but i don't want to keep playing long enough to discover it. anyway boring game
