Very fun speed running game where cards are used as weapons(guns) that can be swapped for abilities(anything from dashes, ziplines, double jumps, and more). Optimizing your time and routes becomes insanely addicting until you either ace levels, or get the godly red author time medals. While I could see the dialogue in the optional relationship system you have with your team not being for everyone, it becomes easy to progress them as you do so by finding the hidden gifts on each level just adds to the exploration and unique routes you need to take to find the gifts. These relationships unlock more dialogue and side quests for each character that all have different rule sets or styles of levels. Overall the game is a fantastic if you are a speed demon looking to try and squeeze every extra second out of each run and love pushing the limits of what you can do to try to beat your records and beat your friend's time or even climb the global ladder. The pace of the constantly evolving levels and additional weapons/abilities has you always learning more and adding to your arsenal of speed has you always looking for shortcuts to shave off a few seconds. The addicting game play loop begs you to try to ace every level and 100% it. Depending on not you are put off by the style of dialogue I would give the game a 8-9/10.

Hands down one of my favorite games ever, I don't know how I missed this gem when it was originally released. Over the top anime-esque game play, cinematics, characters, and very memable but good story. The game play encourages you to always be on the offensive as the button to parry attacks it the same button used for attacking, when you get a hang of the controls, it delivers some of the most hype and over the top combat that Platinum Games has kept refining all the way up to DMC 5. Some of the best use of music in gaming, with a sound track that bangs so hard it oozes testosterone and makes you want to slice your enemies into a million more pieces than you already wanted to. The soundtrack stands alone as its own amazing work of art. The DLC's are just as good giving you two different perspectives on the story that unravels through your first play through.

There is a reason this game is still talked about all these years later and memes are still made using pictures, clips, or phrases from this game.

Fun and challenging rouge like card game. You have to manage your pathing, health, your deck, and weigh the options during certain areas and do things like discard a card for a random rare one or lose some health in exchange for a relic. There are occasional spots to heal a % of your health or upgrade a card. Very fun game so far and I've only gotten to the 2nd Act boss on my farthest run so far. If you enjoy rouge likes and like deck building and optimization, this game can be a very fun game when your deck is built and you are using 6-8 cards per move.
