I've been wanting to get into Monster Hunter for a long time, trying many entries in the series over the years. Unfortunately the basic running controls always felt too clunky and annoying for me to put up with. Yes, simply running around. If that alone doesn't feel good in your action game, it's a quit moment for me.

Monster Hunter: World finally solves this grievance of mine. Moving around is finally outright fun while still keeping a little bit of that "heavy" flavor the series is known for, and I can now enjoy all the other elements of the game I felt barred from in previous entries.

... Don't screw this up for following releases, Capcom.

All my life I never gave a damn about first-person shooters. This game changed that. Which is weird, as this is not a first-person shooter. It's a beat 'em up with projectiles.
