After playing this game for almost seventy hours, I can firmly say that this is a great party fighter game. It's also a good competitive game for those who like to get competitive. Sure, the playerbase is toxic as all hell, but it's easily ignorable.

5/29/2024 Update: I now have 544 hours, have successfully been in Platinum, and have collected literally every skin for my main Barazza (Metadev included). I can safely say I know what I'm saying when I say that this game is what you make of it. Doesn't make much sense until you think about it, I guess. It's a great 2D fighting game with an enormous roster that keeps expanding rapidly. Tons of love from the developers pours from everything in the game. It's amazing it has the gigantic crossovers it does, too. I do recommend this game.
