Coming From Diablo 3 and Path of Exile, Id say its perfectly in the middle, leaning more to PoE then D3.
If I went from D3 to this I would feel a little lost, but I played PoE so I know I need to cap my resistances and so on.
I get a little lost in PoE, Its such a great game but I don't know what to do next half the time but I don't really get that here.
They seem to have almost directly addressed some of the issues PoE players have with PoE, such as an auction house for example.
They are doing seasons like PoE Leagues from what I can tell and while its early days (Season2), I look forward to seeing what they add and what stays around. Its like now that I know and love PoE I get a chance to see it from the beginning.

I really look forward to what they do next.

I wouldn't say it's bad, but I wouldn't say I enjoyed it. I tried to like it; I really did.

Cons
Lack of Automation:
My main issue is the lack of automation. There are no bots to build things for me. I'm not asking for Factorio levels of "build the world for me," but something, anything, would have been nice.

Belts:
If belts were easier to place, that would be huge. It's not that it's hard (or easy), it's just more time-consuming than I would like belts to be.

Loaders:
Loaders, the game's inserters/loaders used for moving items between belts and machines, felt off. Normally, loaders are an easy win for me, but I didn't enjoy them here.

AI Companion:
The AI companion is kind of annoying, though at least his voice isn’t grating. The introduction feels too hand-holdy in some places.

Menus:
The menus for controls were a pain to navigate, particularly the toggle for auto-jump.

Pros
Potential for Fun:
Despite these issues, the game looks and feels like it could be a lot of fun one day. For me, it hits most of the marks of what Satisfactory should have been. It's an open-world 3D sandbox factory game – hell yeah!

Summary
If a little automation was added and belts were less obtuse to place (or if bots could place them), I would consider re-entering the game. However, from what I’ve seen, that’s not happening.

All in all, the game is okay. The best way to put it is that more polished factory sims have spoiled me, and now I can't live without their luxuries. If you’re new to the genre, I could recommend Foundry. If not, I cannot.

You gather whatever you can find for your meal: a gleaming fractured microchip, a nip of adopted shavings from a tortoise shell, and a villainous boar tooth.

Just like number one but 3D. Couldn't get enough of number 1? Then you'll love 2, which is being constantly worked on and expanded. Also your mates will actually want to play now because it looks nice so that's fun.

A game of never ending problem solving with devs that love what they do and care about the community. Cant thank them enough or recommend the game enough.

I love you Magicite. so much. however you might want to think about playing with a friend. makes the game MUCH funner

Freaking wicked game. takes a little to get into the swing of it, but so worth it

Do it. Great fun

One of my al time favourite games.
