Another fantastic collection from Dread X. While there are less games than the previous collections they do feel more polished and longer in length with varied mechanics and stories, from the craziness of Rose of Meat to the more emotional like The Fruit.

Another fantastic collection from Dread X, this anthologies theme is right up my alley.
From the more subtle build up like Submission and Sato Wonderland, the constantly cute but creepy Bete Grise and Soul Waste, to the abstractness that is EDEN and Disparity of the Dead, every developer has taken this theme and made it their own.

So far I've played 5 of the 12 games in this collection, and even just two of the games would be well worth the 10 dollars.
Each developer brings their own style and scares to the table, so you're sure to find something you like.

A very interesting way to tell a story about a house, and all of the "residents" inside. Each story branches off as you enter, taking you through different areas with different scares and encounters. The monsters are fun, have different approaches and mechanics, and the each path is it's own self contained story with ties to each.

Fun, cute, creepy cast of characters, a ton of references to Stranga's catalog of games, and a bunch of funny moments.

Transparency: I was involved in the development of this game, as the english voice actor for the main character.
That said, it's not a great game, but it's alright.
1) It's a pretty generic story, daughter missing, spooky town, progression through finding keys, etc.
2) It has some fun moments. My original playthrough was the initial release, so ammo was scarce, and the weapon upgrades were not added yet. The updates made it a lot easier to progress by finding ammo and money in cabinets, and more power lets you rip through enemies.
3) Bosses are just bullet sponges, with no mechanics aside from point and click. The final boss is kinda nice though as you use the entire town as the battlefield.

If it's on sale I'd recommend it, but also the developer had never paid me anything for the work I did and had not responded to any of my emails asking about payment, so take that as you will.

Eat cookies before midnight and Santa kidnaps you and puts you in a maze where he teleports and chases you.
It's somewhat lackluster, but the developer has informed me he's planning on fixing and updating it so I'm looking forward to it. For less than a buck it's not horrible and decent enough if you like haunted mazes.

A fantastic game heavily inspired by Amnesia but does it extremely well. The sound design and ambient music is on point, and the creature designs are unsettling to stare at but hard to look away. Looking forward to the full release and well worth the download.

A well done indie horror game, taking a few tropes from the genre but adding some good atmosphere. There are several jumpscares throughout the game, but most of the horror comes from wondering what is behind the door or what is making that sound. The story is pretty typical and most of the puzzles are basic key/valve fetches, but the sounds and visuals make up for it, and at a budget game I really enjoyed it.

Not a horrible game but I can only recommend a pickup if it's on sale. For 50 cents this is a decent pickup, 20 minutes of horror in a museum with creepy stuff happening and a monster appearing. Kinda confused by the 2 endings, nothing is really explained, and the game feels kinda "eh".
