This game has had a rocky history, with their policy of nerfing guns rather than buffing the weaker ones. The game felt unsatisfying for a while like we were shooting at enemies with rubber bullets, and especially automatons ragdolled you so much it was almost unplayable, and worse not fun.

But they made a lot of good steps recently, they buffed guns and added features, and the ragdoll issue with the bots is resolved it feels so much better now. It's such a fun game now!

I wanted to like this game, the graphics are great and it runs well on a Ryzen 5600x and a RX 6800XT, the animations are pretty good although they could have a little more weight to them. The attention to detail is pretty good, but where it falls flat for me is the audio. '

The chainsaw sword barely makes any noise, the Bolter has no punch to it and it all sounds super quiet. I tried all the different audio settings (stereo, 5.1 7.1 etc. and even the dynamic range) it makes no difference, even stuff like walking around you can barely hear the footsteps even though you're a 10 feet tall juggernaut.

I immediately booted up the previous game and man the audio is much better, everything has much more impact and man that Stalker Bolter has such a great sound to it. Also footsteps it really sounds like you're huge, and the chainsword actually makes a lot of sound.

Also no Ultrawide support at launch? I know its on the roadmap but man almost every game nowadays has out of the box support for it and works great so its sad to see it missing here.

So yeah, I was looking forward to the game but i have refunded it for now, i hope they fix the audio situation or maybe mods will arrive that fix it.

Its a great game, It has cool moments and what it does well is it shows you loot in earlier missions that you can only access later in the game, when you get the item to do that with.
The graphics hold up pretty well, this is the remaster so they probably updated the textures and stuff, it looks good.
The combat is also really fun, you have a couple weapons that you can buy combo's for and stuff, chaining them together is fun.
They have native Ultrawide support, i don't know if that was the case in the standard version but it is the case here. Also the framerate has been very stable and had no crashes (well one but that was on a different computer and i suspect it was just the PC not this game.)
Also i'm not a puzzle person at all, i'm bad at them, and this game does have a lot of problem solving with puzzles but for me it was very doable. I looked up 1 solution and i was already on the right track so yeah its a fun adventure game.

BUT i am having a hard time finishing the game, it feels SO bloated, its like they did everything they possibly could to make the game longer.

I remember at the first dungeon that one was pretty cool, i had spend some time in it, ran around solved some puzzles and thought 'okay this was fun, but surely now i can fight the boss and move on right?' and there was a WHOLE NEW SECTION where i needed to collect 3 MORE THINGS to activate the platform to go to the boss. And ofcourse aquiring those 3 things did take more time than 10 minutes..
If they scrapped that whole section, finding those 3 things, it would not be missed and i felt that way more and more throughout the game.

At another section you need to go and free someone, by going into a shadow world sort of. And it has some fun minigames to play like 'kill these flying enemies with only finishers within the time limit' which was fun! But there's 4 of them you need to complete to progress.. and its a pretty big area so you're running around completing them, and later in the game you get the same thing again for another NPC!
They could have just gone with completing 1 challenge and leaving the other challenges as a separate mode, maybe for a big reward if you complete them all, but now they are neccessary to complete the game.

This game is very long, 15 hours in and i think i'm nearing the end, i was done with this game like hours ago and it just. Keeps. Going. I'm not giving it a thumbs down because it IS a good game. It just keeps going for so long i even forgot what this game was even about, which is War wanting to find out what happened at the beginning of the game.

Bought it on sale, i'm having fun with the game, some aspects need work and there needs to be more content like more and unique levels. But the game itself is really fun alone or even more with friends

Great game, the choices you make not only lead to a different ending but also has an influence on the levels , for example killing more people instead of sneaking past them will result in more rats in the city, and lead to more diseased people and more despair for example

Good story, great gameplay and atmosphere, graphics still look good thanks to the artstyle.

Great game, fun gameplay, well written characters, unexpected moments in the story keep things fresh. Would highly recommend to anyone.

This game is great, lots of fun unlocking all the characters, every run is different and if you complete achievements it adds even more items to aquire in game. Overall very fun game

Great game, didnt put much time in the multiplayer but the zombies is pretty good.
