Unowocześniony i o wiele bardziej dynamiczny gameplay, pozwalający na łatwiejsze ponowne wkroczenie do uniwersum, wyciska ostatnie soki z silnika gry i dodaje wiele nowych, ale i nie ingerujących w podstawowe schematy rozgrywki znane z oryginału, mile widzianych smaczków. Fabuła poziomem nie odstępuje od faktycznego Gothica. Soundtrack zapada w pamięć. Lepszego powrotu tej serii nie można było się spodziewać.

Very good game. The ending left me heartbroken and thinking a lot. Uncovering the mystery was really gripping and the gameplay was only doing it favors. I've grown fond of the mechanics and I found them to be pretty satisfying and well implemented. The way they intertwine with the world and the puzzles really make the player approach any difficulties contextually with the game.

I liked it very much. Gripping story, great graphics and astounding scenery. Pretty scary too.

I have to be honest: I was a bit skeptical about this game before playing it. I was thinking it is trying to replace the original Gothic, which is not true, according to the text written by the developer that shows up when we launch the game. It's supposed to be a re-imagining, thus I suppose it's not fair to be too harsh on the comparisons between the two. However I'd like to address a couple of things that don't seem quite right. For example, Nameless Hero does not seem like himself at all. He's timid, sloppy, and acts like a protagonist from an adventure movie for kids. In the original the guy was shrewd, sarcastic and most importantly badass. Now, I know I probably sound negative here, but in fact I do not mind the change that much and if the developers were to keep it I'd totally get that. It leaves cool new possibilities, like maybe a strong character arc (going from a ♥♥♥♥♥ to a killing machine).
The scavenger design is not really my cup of tea. Looks bland. The other enemies are fine, though we haven't seen many.
The atmosphere feels kinda more light-hearted. It's sunny all the time, and it would be cool if there were also different, more depressing weather conditions to set the mood.
I guess that's all that bothers me though. I liked the quests, they seemed pretty faithful to the original. The graphics were good but glitchy sometimes. The fighting system seems fine but is kinda clunky at the moment.
I will give this a positive review because I had a fun time and I can't wait to see the rest of the adventure in the full game.

Got this for free and can say I was not dissapointed. It has an easy and effective story. Not a huge heartbreaker but it does its job and makes you think for a couple of minutes. I really liked the soundtrack and the level design, although the graphics could've been better. Though I usually don't give one damn about graphics in games so it didn't bother me. The game also has some "mystery" feel to it, at least in my experience, because you never know what the next location you visit is going to look like, apart from conjectures you form after listening to tales about these places. It also gets a bit challenging at certain moments towards the end so you can definitely count on that.
Most importantly, though: is it worth spending $13 on this pretty short game? Well, decide if the overall theme, the setting and the atmosphere are anyhow enticing to you. And if the answer is yes, and you also have some spare cash an and evening, then why not?
