What can I say about this masterpiece?

That I first played it at 8 years old and it was the first game I ever fell in love with?

That I still own that original copy all these years later, plus a greatest hits copy I picked up to play. Plus a PS3 Digital Copy. Plus this steam copy, I bought just to have joy sticks.

My one complaint about the Steam version is when catching chocobos and moving them into the pen, you can't reset to get a different sex without messing with the Random Number Generator. Other than that, if you want ffvii with joysticks, this is the one for you.

I bought this game back in 2015, when there were not even trees on either of the only two planets available. I have to say this game has come along way, and I definitely recommend it.

Is it perfect? No.

Is it better than No Man's Sky? Yes.

It's best to play with a buddy or two, but the multiplayer servers are alright.

Don't get this game for a solo story, it's sandbox builder survival. The story mode was recently added, isn't bad, but isn't what makes this game special.

It's hard to say what makes this game special. I just like how you mine all the materials, build a spaceship, and go fight the aliens.

There used to be a Capital ship on the Workshop that was Atlantis from Stargate Atlantis. I subscribed, built it, and flew around in Atlantis from that show. Updates have made that workshop item not work. But there are loads others that are just as awesome.

I highly recommend this game. Don't even pay attention to the early access.

Those two mods are the only two must haves to make this the best game you have played in awhile.

For new players, when you first start in career, don't bother with survey contracts. And remember to build your rockets like a nerf football until you unlock better aerodynamics in the research tree.

It is difficult, and it does have a steep learning curve. But it feels so good when you finally land on the moon. So damn good.

This is a wonderful game I think I am about 18 hours in and thats just in 3 days. I like how it is more economy focused than militarily focused. And the map is huge, takes forever just to get the borders opened up from the intial area. One downsided is when in the campaign and doing diplomacy stuff the amount it takes is dependent on your current wealth. Took me 8 million to gain Izma's sympathy and only 700k to buy it after I went broke. Don't know if it's intentional, or just a ♥♥♥♥ happens kind of thing, But my traders soon made me a millionaire again. I think the people who struggle with this game, or think it sucks is because they do not realize the most money is made off the townspeople buying and not the traders making trades. All in all, it is definitely worth a try if your looking for a laid back strategy game.

I have had this for about a month now, it is a bit of a learning curve but otherwise easy to pickup and a great tool for DMs. Those of you who just want to play go to the Fantasy Grounds forums before buying and get into a game with an Ultimate DM and you can play using the free trial version. Full License is really only needed for those who want to DM their own Games for other Full License players. The only difference from Ultimate, is Ultimate can host a game for Free trial people. Keep in mind you have to schedule games on a forum to actually play this.There are a couple really active and it is really easy to join a game so do not let that discourage you.

The above was one month after I got it, I've had it years now. I've upgraded to the Ultimate License, ran more than a few games as a DM. I've designed campaigns, and created my own version of Stargate via Savage Worlds in Fantasy Grounds. I've gotten to know the modders, and the developers in the very tight knit community. To really get the Fantasy Grounds experience you have to be active on the forums. And open to advice, because everyone has an opinion.

I really do recommend this, more than anything else on Steam. Even after three years.
