Is a great time. The story and gameplay are VERY linear/on rails but it never feels annoying or predictable. It's a short game but it's a solid experience

I will change my review once the game gets a bug fix, but at the moment it's very unplayable.

I have an RTX 4090, playing at 4k and it will mostly run at around 80-100 FPS with DLSS, but it will dip as low as 15-20 FPS in some areas making it very nauseous to me, as that affects my motion sickness

The game also doesn't have a way to start over/make a new game. So if you're like me and make a character that ended up being way too tall on accident you're now forced to play hours of the game as a 10 foot tall ogre until you reach a major city to then go and buy a special item that lets you edit your character instead of just starting over...


I recommend to just go play Dragon Dogma 1 while you wait if you haven't played it already :) $5 on most sites, great game

Game is fairly unplayable nowadays unless you play with specific settings,as the game has a lot of the physics and cutscenes tied to your FPS so if you don't play with the right settings then entire sections of the game will straight up break and leave you needing to reload the game several times or finding these settings to switch to.

I wish I had known all of that sooner, or at the least have the game fixed by the dev team to not have this be an issue but alas it ruined any enjoyment I could've had. Playing Rise of the Tomb Raider and so far it's been a far better experience but will have to see as I get further into it.

Controls and camera are clunky, and make me nauseous easily. A lot of fetch quests and a slow burner of a story which isn't a bad thing but with nothing else keeping me entertained it doesn't help. Also 6 hours into the game I got a save bug and lost about an hours worth of progress, so calling it quits. A shame

Finally got to the Deus Ex franchise in my backlog, was incredibly fun and interesting and really enjoyed the world and abilities. Sadly Humankind Revolution was unable but this game thankfully had a recap video and didn't rely too much on the past game to be enjoyable on its own.

Still very playable with modern hardware, played at 4k 240hz and never had any issues, would recommend trying it out if you somehow are like me and haven't played it yet :)

Don't recommend playing just because of how unplayable it is on modern hardware. Game crashes consistently, and stutters unless you do a fix outside the game.

I really enjoyed the time I played, but I would recommend just watching the recap video in the sequel and enjoy the more stable experience

I recently started playing Oblivion and have been thoroughly enjoying it. I have already completed the main quest line, or at least it seems that way, and have been exploring the side content ever since. Thanks to the use of mods, the game has been elevated to a Skyrim level of quality and I have not experienced any motion sickness while playing.

As with many Bethesda games, Oblivion is known for its bugs and glitches. However, with the installation of 485 mods, the game has been running smoothly with only occasional crashes occurring every 3-6 hours. The only other issue I encountered was with HDR on my monitor, which made dark areas like caves difficult to navigate. Despite my attempts to turn off HDR, the game refused to listen and forced it on. I eventually had to use the console command TLB to make the game playable in these areas.

Overall, the game has been very enjoyable and is still very playable in 2024. While the story was shorter than I expected, it was very entertaining.

My review is from someone who didn't play it when I was younger, and based purely on it's playability in current years

In it's purely vanilla state I would simply just say "unplayable", but thanks to modders I was able to download over 450 mods that made the game run and play at a passable state I am sure for most people. But unfortunately due to my motion sickness the feeling of the incredibly slow sprinting/walking mixed with the low frame rate made it too nauseating for me.

I will have to not recommend the game for people like me who have motion sickness, but for others I am sure it's a great experience and enjoyable part of Bethesda's history. I will just have to hope that Bethesda will at some point make a remaster of Morrowind, and maybe even ES1 and 2.

Is very much a more advanced Game Dev Tycoon. While that game was amazing this brings everything you'd want that was missing from that game. You are not limited by how many employees you can have, consoles are more advanced to build and maintain, you can buy and sell other companies, be a publisher, sell merch, make remasters, ports, spinoffs, dlc, updates, f2p games.

It's a lot of fun and worth $25 to me at least. The only thing I wish the game had was multiple maps/layouts but still very good

I think right now this game is not a recommendation from me. While it has vastly improved a lot of the annoying or tedious features of the first game and streamlined a lot of the cleaning/actual building of houses they also in turn removed a lot of stuff that was fun.

The game also has a lot less wall art/decors and rugs leaving a lot of decor needing to be imported in by yourself. The game also has very little outdoor props to be used even though the prior game had a farming, pets, AND barn related DLC.

This game doesn't feel like a complete game and instead feels like it's missing a few DLC's to get close to being as complete as the first game. Maybe once it gets a few DLC and a sale it might be worth it but $40 for half a game doesn't seem like a good price to me.
