A great little game to just unwind with.

Pure fun, great soundtrack. Had me hooked playing it through to the end.

Grab some friends, Burn down some kitchens accidentally. Unleash a bit of collaborative interference based chaos, and watch everything unravel in a random panic.

The storyline in this game can get surprisingly engaging. The world design feels pretty good, with decently sized crowds relative to the size of the game area. From the narrative perspective alone, its probably one of the better stories i've played through in a game this year.

This game is delightfully chaotic at times, especially when considering the DLC. Really fun to play with friends and lots of replayability.

Bought the game when it was on sale earlier this year, purely because i'd heard so much negativity around the game and wanted to see if it was truly as bad as i'd kept seeing people say (and rembering all that original hype train stuff). Even though, i've had some small performance issues with the game at times, overall, i've actually really been enjoying my time with the game and with seeing the updates that are inbound, i've had no issues recommending the game to friends too, who i know enjoy these types of exploratory games. I find it rather nice a game to play to just chill out a bit, do some exploration and just enjoy playing at my own pace.

When it comes to strategy games I tend to get rather invested in the ones i like. Stellaris however is on another level for me. I keep coming back to the game to try different strategies out, different combinations. Even when the devs announce changes to their games that will vastly overhaul the core gameplay, i still find myself wanting to play even though i'd often with other games take a "i'll play after the update" stance.

Without a doubt, this is one of my alltime favourite games, and judging by the dev diaries and the direction the game is going, it will just get better.

As a long time strategy gamer, i've come to really enjoy playing endless legend. The gameplay is really well designed, and it just feels rather natural. The abstracted combat into mini battlefields that are placed on the area the conflict started in are rather nice for immersion as well as strategy, since some placements can leave your enemies having to fight in situations that really are against them. Making custom factions just adds so much replayablity to the game as well. At the time of writing this review, i've actually gone and created 24 custom factions that all have their own little nuanced playstyles from being raiding based factions, to continental conquerors, to megacity builders. The game really felt fresh to me and has actually for my personal tastes left civilisation seeming lacking in comparison. This would probably have to be my personal top game that i've been playing this year, since time and time again i find myself wanting to make more factions and play yet another game with my friends.
