I can't recommend this because no matter how good your computer is it will have stutter issues. It is also missing content from the old game (Born From A Wish).

That being said, I love this game. It is not a replacement for the original and it's a shame there is no easy way for people to play the masterpiece that is the original. Still, it's insane how much love and care did go into this.

If you don't know much about the story, just give it a shot. Get ending A and then start going for ending B. If the changes don't intrigue you, there's probably no reason to continue. To me, the start of trying to get ending B is one of the best narrative changes in a game. The new ending is amazing, especially for fans who have been following the series for a long time.

The soundtrack in this game is astonishing. There isn't much else to be said. The new tracks added from the original are great as well. The arrangements in this version are a nice compliment to the OST of the original. Both can be enjoyed.

I'd honestly recommend playing the game on easy if you have any issues with the gameplay. Even in the original, I thought combat was fine and I think it's pretty good now with this new version. I also love how it's a love letter to different genres. You'll occasionally switch perspectives to do platforming, fixed cameras, isometric views, etc. It feels like a love letter to gaming to me.

This has been one of my favorite survival games. Tons of fun to play with friends. Lots of nice quality of life things like auto dumping materials into nearby containers at base.

A narrative that could only be done as effectively as it is because it is a video game. The player interacts with this game in surprising and unique ways. It also has one of the best depictions of depression IMO.

Better than the old PC port but I'd still recommend getting some mods. Not much else to say though. 10/10 classic.

This is my favorite Battle Royale but it needs a solo mode. I have no friends.

I actually really like this, but after putting 8 hours in (beating the game and then going back for alternate routes), I lost my save. The game didin't work on Linux/Steam Deck day one so I used my Windows partition. When it started working on Proton Experimental I switched over to try it out. I booted it up and it didn't have my save. I figured it just didn't support Steam cloud saves so I started a game to see how it ran. I then booted in to Windows later to continue my game and grab my save file. Unfortunately, it was overwritten by my Linux save with no way to get it back.

So, until the issue with syncing to the Steam cloud saves is resolved, I can't recommend this game.

Also ignore anyone complaining about DEI, unless you go insane over hearing that someone has two moms, or don't like that there's hints at a lesbian romance, then this game is fine.

I'm glad we are able to play this on PC, and I really hope modders are able to improve on this and put in some of the missing content like music and DLC costumes.

That being said, it's kind of a bad port. It definitely looks a little better than just emulating on RPCS3 with a 60 FPS patch. However, I would still recommend playing this game like that right now.

This game is missing a lot of music from the original. I expected licensed music to be gone, but there's also missing music in the boss fights and it makes them much worse. The FMVs also seem to have been re-encoded and look worse than PS3. The audio also seems to be lower quality. I think the music is fine but a lot of the voice lines just sound bad. They also didn't fix some of the issues that I had playing the original on RPCS3. The most annoying being that there are voice lines that repeat way too often. I also had the final boss glitch on me. He had no health but didn't move to the next phase and just stood there and wouldn't take any more damage.

It's like 3 full length games. I still haven't beaten it. 10/10
