Ok so my friend challenges me to a game of gunz and suggests Gunz 2 as an alternative since it came onto steam. First thing we look for is a practice mode and a private match mode. Both of which are missing. This is a troubling begginning since the first gunz was all about skill and what is that without a method of practice? I start looking through the inventory and shop and such to see if there are any minor improvements or otherwise that I could make. Yet again I am sorely dissappointed by the addition of some for of RPG like stats for random crits etc. These are not for a shooter which is what I remember gunz to be. Next we have the clan set up. We started one up before even getting into first match which is good for accessability however inviting people from the clan menu does not work. Invite from friends menu worked. Let's try clicking our game mode. Oh...it kicked my teammate...Oh...now it won't let me reinvite him. Relog. Works again. Try out campaign time because the PvP is looking very far out of the question right now. Get in game> Try dashing.....well....that was uneventful. Try chaining dashes>...Oh...doesn't do anything. Try wall running> Very clunky...kinda slow... Ok so they firmly destroyed the games mobility aspect. Let's try some combat. Slash>Block Nope, animation is too clunky for that. Oh hey right click jumps higher than space bar. Maybe I can use that with dash! Nope disappointed it again. Weapon swap works well!...Oh look at that...There's no way to really defend as a melee specialist. The only thing they had before was mobility and that is very...lax...If you are looking for the original gunz play style you are going to be sorely disappointed. Sorry Maiet...I had major suspicions when "Raiderz" was announced as a trial of the engine before Gunz 2 came out but this surely affirms all the failures I foresaw.

TL;DR: It plays with the mobility of TERA and has the nerve to call the game a sequal to Gunz
