If you love Portal 2 and Subnautica, this game is just for you. It literally combines both -
an underwater facility and the fact that the robots can feel pain too...
On a brighter note, the visuals are amazing, the game runs great, the atmosphere is (heheh) deep,
the story is amazing, the voice acting is very believable, the only downside is that the gameplay can get a bit stale in some segments, but overall 9/10.

I love relieving stress in this game.

But on a serious note though, doing the pacifist route here is hard as hell, the game sometimes wants you to snap. But it's good.

I regret nothing.

It's THE space sim.

You take the ship, you take your friends/bots, and you can go ANYWHERE!

The amounts of cool and immersive systems in this game is insane, too.
For example: a scientist on YOUR ship can create a virus program to hack into enemy ship's systems, and sabotage them.

Every ship you encounter in this game, has a fully simulated NPC crew that runs around the ship and fixes it's systems, just like on your ship!

This is just if Starfield used starships not just for space combat sections, if you could walk around your ship, if love and care was put into it...

This game is simply amazing. 3 people made it, yet the amounts of little details here and there is just mind-blowing. For example: an enemy's missile caused one of your rooms to set on fire? Heh, now FIRE drains OXYGEN! Cool, right?

You want to fire that big cool plasma canon your ship has? Heh, gotta check the enemy ship's movement vector first! Oh, what's that? Firing the gun applied the velocity to your ship, while your pilot was carefully maneuvering along the asteroids? Heh! That loss of the ship's hp will be the cause of miscommunication!

Oh, also, the Engineer role.
Playing as him feels like that one scene from Age of ultron, where Tony programs Altron along with Jarvis.
Seriously: you need to manage the ship's reactor temperature, the warp drive's ready-ness, the shield energy consumption, the brandmauer systems, and all of that is on different screens, in different tabs! Literally the most stressfull micro-managing sims I ever played.

So, grab a few friends, read a manual, and get ready for the most memorable space adventure you'll have since the last time you've played Mass Effect 1.

Yep, all my playtime was me dying on every layer of the game. But my god - even dying in this game feels epic.

Edit: This is not a roguelike. This is actually an open world sandbox game

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. This game's perfect. I'm going to review each part of it here:
The Good:
1. Music. It's fine-tuned to the gameplay, it changes dynamically depending of the situation your squad's in. When xenos attack, new instruments in the music appear, when extraction starts - a stressful heartbeat-like beat blends in. Just enough to make you stress over blue dots on the screen.

2. Atmosphere. Dark and Gloomy. Fits very well. Also, there's a way to stand up from the computer and walk around the room, and I'm sure that they'll do a lot of cool stuff with it later .
There's also the "company does not care about humans" thingy, but even if they're clones, they still cry for help.

3. Gameplay. You basically watch them explore the area and retask them if needed. But GOD DAYMN - It becomes so stressful when it comes to micro-managing them, just amazing.

4. Audio. They cry for help. You can't help them. Oh, and also the game makes satisfying keyboard sounds when you navigate the menus.
Oh, also yes, the actors are indeed human, it's so rare nowdays to find an indie game with real voice acting.

5. Controls. Good. You do not need the mouse though.

6. Graphics. Again, there's a way to stand up from the PC and look at the room you're in, and it looks good AND you do not need NASA PC to look at it.

Now, The Bad:
1. Sometimes FPS drops when you switch from screen-to screen, but that's the only time where it does that. It's also connected to the fact that the game's actually 3D and all that you see on the screen actually happens in 3D, and they might expand on it

And The Ugly:
1. Right now the game opens the feedback google form of the game every single time you exit the demo. devs please fix.

Additional note: (SPOILER!) after you finish the demo, check the door

As you can see, there's quite a lot of good things about the game, so GO PLAY IT!

P.S. this game is literally what Mission Control from Deep Rock Galactic has to go through every day, and you are telling me that he has a "cozy job"!?

So many problems with mouse controls. It was one of the reasons on why I could not play this mod - the input lag is insane.

The humour is non-existant, the characters say just what you expect them to, the section with a single portal device is too long, and all of the puzzles from that section conclude to "press the button to reset the cube" which is not even an original idea.

Soundtrack is somewhat good.

The map design is weird. The levels themselves are OK, but the decorations and the visual fidelity is either too bland or too crowded, they're mixing the designs from the GladOS era chambers and the Weatley era chambers, creating that weird mess.

Turning on Vsync is not limiting the fps to the screen refresh rate, giving that insane input lag effect. You can limit the fps manually, and that will somewhat fix the problem.

The "volumetric lighting" system just adds more visual noise, and it's better to disable it.

There's a lot of effort put into this mod, but it just does not have the charm and the design philosophy original Portal 2 has.
