The game is old, and a little repetitive, but it's got a lot of charm. I played it a lot when it first came out, and when I saw it on steam for 1.99 I snatched it up, and it's still as fun as it was when I first picked up the disk. it's a great game to pick up to set sail for some swashbuckling whimsy.

The controls sometimes feel a little wonky, but I have the feeling that in a way they are supposed to be. you're a wizard and you aren't quite usure of the powers you are messing with, and that's the fun! I enjoyed playing with the ways to mix and match elements was supported by the patches they'cve included since launch, and the DLC that let people play with diffrent tactics... it still falls victim to people finding "I win" combinations, but in the end half the fun is in blowing yourself up. I just wish that the networking wasn't so finicky. this game is a blast with a group of friends to run around with... if you can manage to get them connected. Still it's a great game and worth giving it a run through... or two.
