Mirror, Mirror on the wall, when will the gaming industry implode and fall? :morgansdead: It's pretty damn close. Bethesda and Bioware are dead, so is Obsidian - never to return. The golden age of gaming is long gone.
It's just not worth it.
How anybody can enjoy playing online with other people in any game is beyond me. The word 'fun' is not included in that equation. It's just for the measurement of 'e-peens', that's it.

I tried it for the last time with 'Once Human'. There is nothing but trolls and abusive players in these types of games. Speedrunners and map rushers are now the norm. Cheaters [mod users, whatever] also tend to run rampant unchecked by uncaring dev teams who just don't seem to give a ♥♥♥♥. On top of that you need a ♥♥♥♥ load of friends and too much time on your hands to get through them.

You are almost guaranteed to run into the hardcore, pro and elite players (the upper 1%) who will want nothing to do with you if you 'don't know how to play the game', if you're 'a bad player', 'noob', that sort of thing. You will get screamed at, or it will come up in one of the many in game chats. They can get very nasty, and really, really vile. They also lurk in the steam forums. This is just nothing but fact.

Asking for, receiving or offering any type of help is also becoming a massive 'no-no' these days. If you can't figure it out, or get it right on the first try, then that's just too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad. Don't go looking for help for anything for any game, you will have to figure it out for yourself. Even if it takes a long damn time, or not at all, depending on what it is.

That's just the way it is unfortunately, that's just how it works most of the time. If you happen get some 'genuine help', consider yourself lucky.

Heaven forbid should they discover that you're a female player, you will never hear the end of it, or at the very least get kicked for it. It can and will happen, especially if you use your mic. You will get the ♥♥♥♥ end of the stick every time, there is no way around that. They'll beat you with it too, just to make you leave the game.

If you think that you might want to try out online game play, and you're just the bit hesitant about it, don't do it. Just don't, it is not worth it, not one single bit. Go find an indie game, or an older single-player game, you'll be the better for it.

Forced multi-player, pvp and co-op have destroyed gaming as a whole. Politics/♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥/drama have also become a thing lately. Game spaces were just fine until all that stupid ♥♥♥♥ was shoved in.

Now single-player/solo play are being left out entirely in favor of in game cosmetics and endless grind. AKA: FOMO :best_friend: (Fear of missing out)

I have learned my lesson, and I will never do it again - ever. :morgansdead:

/a really massive rant :dhnuke:

TL-DR : Online play can ♥♥♥♥ all the way off. :yawp:
