Disclaimer: I hail from the faraway land of mobas and RPGs.

This is the first ever fighting game i ever played.

Had no idea what MLP was either.

Wanted to main the pony cause OTP (ONE Trick Pony).

Didn't know what i was doing, was still mashing taunt by accident at 100hrs in trying to teleport.
Had no idea what any of the fighting games terms meant.
I just knew that i wanted to shoot fireballs.
Entered a local tournament and got my butt kicked... alot.

Still had a sub 30% winrate until ~ 300 hrs in.
Still wanted to shoot more fireballs.

Met someone on a way way higher skill level from me during this time, wanted to be like him.
Also became more active in the local discord community somewhere around this time.
Community was real friendly and welcoming so i decided to stay awhile.
Fireballs became a lil smoother around this time... Was expecting to move on to another game by now.

600hrs in, game is still fun for me i was really surprised.
Still wanted to do nothing but shoot fireballs during this time, but i could feel that there was a pull to get better.

This was a problem. Further progression dictated that i had to start playing the game on some competitive level.

Was intending to stop after the next big tournament during this time...(guess how that turned out)

1000hrs in, still love the game and having a ton of fun playing it.
Guess ill be sticking around for awhile.
