A small but fun Metroidvania about unleashing chaos as The Thing and further evolving into an unstoppable threat. There's little to be said: Great audio, nice environments (although they do tend to be quite labyrinthine) and very detailed gory pixel art. While the game is quite easy two thirds of its runtime, the last third will give you some more challenging situations with a handful of solutions, so you can truly feel like a monster, whether clever and devious or brutally violent.
It's unfortunately rather short and maybe not worth its full price, but with mod support it will offer more if you're still hungry for more. All in all, still worth playing
7/10

A classic of zombie survival-crafts
While it may have been born of an early wave of cheapskate and unoriginal ideas, 7DTD was one of the few that even 10+ years later has seen itself to completion while enjoying relatively constant and regular work, and many would argue it was complete years before its 1.0.
7DTD is a game that follows the classic concept of zombies, and there's little to elaborate about it. While its style aims for *looking* somewhat realistic and grim, it is unmistakably wacky in many ways: The exaggerated wobble of the zombies, the stiff animations, the jokes in many menus and some of the items as part of progression... Along with the joy of many options for killing zombies, the many recipes and potential buildings, and the many mods available for all versions through its lifetime, there's gotta be a particular thing that'll amuse you, and more so if you bring along some friends to play along with.

Based on the campaign alone, TFS not only comes with signature Destiny fantastic visuals and music (for the which it sets up a new high bar on it), but also makes up heavily in story beats and pacing that Lightfall lacked. The campaign not only is a good handful of hours, but the first half introduces new mechanics to toy around, and the later half remixes them in creative ways while putting you in landscapes that are references for the veterans, but new in very surreal ways.
Gameplay wise, not only are the mechanics and platforming during the campaign fun, but Bungie has gone all out on unique weapons with the new support frame AR, new rocket sidearms, and other new intrinsic frames for legendary weapons previously unseen. Prismatic is no short of the blast that the trailers demonstrated too.
I'm moving into the post.campaign content as I write this, and will update if my opinion changes or if something of note comes around. Now that the server issues have been addressed, it is an extremely enjoyable experience

Signalis is a classic survival horror not just in design but also in form, but that is by far a boundary to which it restricts itself to, often recurring to sections that lightly mess with the basic rules of a game. Solid in world building and puzzle design, smooth to play and handle, and dripping with style in its score and visuals. But that's all just to tell you what you'd like to know for your money's worth...

I don't think anything I could tell you could really encompass the dread, the sadness and that priceless sense of wonderment at what often feels like a mystery impossible to unravel.
Signalis is about and in and of itself love, bleeding, seething and gelid. Abstract like a poem, coherent as a delirious fever dream at your deathbed and even as frail certainty and shards of a story's verisimilitude elude you it'll nevertheless resonate and stick with you, whether it's a tone that recurs in your ears or a memory of a cycle.
That's something money can't buy.

I also hope you really liked Code Veronica

If you thought the base game was great, you ain't seen nothing yet, folks.
Fantastic new weapons for different use cases or playstyles, and Ms. Chalice's moveset is fantastic for replaying bosses or if you need a new way to approach a boss you're stuck on.
The new bosses are not only arguably even better animated than the base game, but much more challenging as well, easily settling themselves as post-game content while remaining tightly designed and fair to the player; and if you still think it's a smidge too easy, there's some side challenges that'll handsomely reward you, and a little puzzle that'll unlock many challenges for the devoted.

Easily worth its full price.
