Early Access Review
Sometimes I forget this game is in Early Access. With more songs and multiplayer coming this is a definitive Must Buy.

This game needs a lot of things...

First of all it feels quite lonely for being the 'Oasis' with no public lobbies and a seemingly small playerbase for a free game based on a popular book/movie.

I feel like they missed an opportunity to capture what is so cool about the idea of the Oasis. It's supposed to be a place where everyone can go hang out and have experiences together. In this way, VR Chat feels more like the Oasis than this game. The coolest part of the game is the very beginning when you put on the VR headset in-game and the apartment you get. After that it's all downhill.

My second issue is that the mini-games don't have much depth to them. So much so that once you try one, you feel like you don't need to try the next. It all feels very disjointed anyway. The Lab does a much better job of giving you these unique experiences that are just polished enough and keeps you in the world of Aperture Labs.

My third issue is the 'galaxy map' to choose your mini-game feels very cluttered and is a far cry from the portals you see in the movie to get from planet to planet.

All in all I feel this is missed opportunity and the addition of more games won't be enough to save it.

Score: 1/10

Make this game cross platform with Oculus GO and I could recommend.

Eleven Table Tennis, to me, feels much better. Racket Fury has a far superior Menu/Lobby with matchmaking however I found it rare to find a game and when I did the other player either quit or we'd get disconnected. Have yet to play against anyone online because of this.

Pretty typical stand in one spot wave shooter. I may have recommended this on release but as of July 2018 it feels far behind the current mark for a good VR game. The best wave shooter yet is still Robo Recall. In Serious Sam I feel chained to my corner. In Robo Recall you can teleport ANYWHERE. Even on top of a building. Serious Sam feels predictable 10 minutes in.

The guns in the game also don't feel all that great. My biggest issue is with the heavy weapons. They feel like I'm wielding a floaty pool toy rather than a machine gun the size of my body.

Fun game for the first 5 hours or so. The horde mode is cool but the one thing I don't like about it are the levels. The horde mode levels feel extremely small and after about 15 - 20 waves it starts to feel incredibly repetitive and doesn't keep me or my friends coming back.

It would be a lot more engaging if the horde mode had a slight change in scenery every 10 levels or so. Semi in the vein of Nazi Zombies where the levels were these constantly evolving areas and you had to keep finding new defensive points otherwise be completely overrun by zombies.

The campaign is very fun the first time around but after you beat it once I find it hard to come back to as well.

The guns might be the best part about this game. They feel great to shoot. There's a pretty wide variety of weapons that can be fired with one hand as well as stabalized with two.

Dare I say there's almost too much to do? This is one of those games where you won't get the full experience unless you play with some friends. If you don't have any, it's super easy to find people to play with in the lobby.
The only VR game that tops this one in terms of online community is Echo VR on the Oculus store. They both happen to be free as well!
