Decent game, I enjoyed it until I ran into end of Act 2 game breaking bug. Which seems to be quite common according to the steam forum, so I'd not recommend to buy the game at the moment until they have fixed it, unfortunately.

Said bugs have been fixed, I'm still iffy about the Disco Elysium issue, but that's a bit unrelated to this game specifically. Really expected something better from the company with the whole anti-corp message and then went up and did that collab, though.

Too bad steam doesn't have a middling score, since this one sits right in the middle for me.

I was a fan of cultist simulator, so I was hoping for something similar and had been watching this game since first demo. Ultimately, this fell short of expectation. I don't feel the characters too engaging, and the storyline while probably is a high point with other players, don't exactly make me fell compelled than just another thing to interact with. The gameplay loop is decent, albeit really repetitive towards the later acts. The ending felt forced so that the players have to make a choice,

Still get a thumb up overall for their first entry, but I hope they will make better games down the line.

Ignored playing time, I uh played this elsewhere and since the texts/puzzles can't be skipped easily, I did a full playthrough there instead. Actual playing time is about 10.5 hours.

Amazing game for detective lover game, worth it with full price honestly.

The game exceeds my expectation from the trailer, and I've wishlisted it sometimes in the last 4 months. Game did not disappoint me on release. I'll do a short pros and cons below, but I trust that other folks with better writing than me can do the game justice.

Pros:
  • Great cases that's just right in term of difficulty and feasibility to solve.
  • Decent playtime for its price
  • Characters might be a little bit cliche from time to time, but with understandable reasons/motives of why they do what they do. (Honestly decent casts overall)

Cons:
  • Good as they are, puzzles can be obtuse how to solve them. The PASSWORD timetable at the beginning of the game (I got confused by the P-5 and W-1, seriously), the 4 animals riddle (didn't figure out how to read the numbers) and the 2nd pipe puzzle (might be skill issue on this one)
  • Some of the texts didn't get translated when I was playing, but look like the devs have already fixed that
  • The reveal at the end while might hint for a possible 2nd game, really feel like it was jammed in there after the story has been finished? Not a major complaint, since it's still technically on the table, but seriously.

I'd recommend to buy this with probably -20% off if you have the ability, but I bought the game at release sale since I want to support the devs with this amazing game.

The story is relatively decent, but I feel like the gameplay bogs down the experience ways too much, like every single step of the way.

There are some main problems that I find:
  • There are no manual save, so if you want to redo an action in a specific day, you have no choice but replay the whole day.
  • The whole managing needs system is tedious, and having to micromanage people around is a pain.
  • Multiple conversations at once means I have time to focus on none, either that or letting conversations queued up eating into your precious time.
  • No log to see conversations you missed a line or two of.
  • The emotion system feels like way too difficult to get people acting normally, not even being content. And you can power through without consequences if you decide to anyway.

Hence I can't recommend the game with a good conscience. Maybe on sale, but definitely not with the -10% tag at the moment.

Decent game for its price, my playtime is about 15 hours to complete the game, and it seems like there are a few variants for epilogue if you are a completionist to go through the game multiple times. I'll trust the other reviews to do the game justice about pros and cons, but honestly it isn't a bad thing to purchase without sale price.

Great for HoMM fans. The spell system I feel like a little bit too strong, especially when you can cast Justice at level 3 to wipe out 3 days worth of large units, or a tier 3 fireball wipes a full stack of your range units. But otherwise the campaigns are great and fun to play (besides Rana chapter 4 at hardest difficulty). I'm testing the skirmish maps out after the campaigns, and so far it has been great also.

Really recommended to purchase even with the full price tag.

Honestly not that bad of a game, there are some minor stuffs like there's no wrong time not to click Battle since defender can't retaliate and stuff, but it's nothing game breaking. The gacha for now is relatively harmless as the rolling currency is farmable, and doesn't bring massive advantages to the game. Since you get a free character at the start anyway, you can just choose whoever you like and there's no rarity to characters, so.

I've been following the Developer for quite a while, and while I think Legal Dungeon is a bit of a mess, I'd suggest playing all of their games if you are into solving detective puzzles. The games are all meaningful in their own ways, and I love the storytelling tone once you have pieced them together.

No Case Should Remain Unsolved followed a similar trend, but honestly is easier to pick up than the Developer's previous games in term of mechanics. It might be confusing a bit at first, but once you are used to the tone of each speaker you should get along the storyline quick enough. The twist behind it is decent and believable too, to an extent.

With the low price of the game, I'd say it's probably worth the price tag even without sale. The game only takes me about 3.5 hours to finish everything, but I really enjoy my time with it.

It's a decent game for its price on sale, honestly. I'd recommend to play this with subtitles on, since reading the text hurts my eyes.

Overall, it's an enjoyable game but the puzzle failed to live up to any expectation.

Decent game, but I do hate the ending. Sure hope the sequel which is being kickstarted this December will be able to fix that somehow.
