Sony has decided to require a PSN account to play this game. When I purchased this game, the first time I saw any kind of "requirement" to link my Steam to a PSN account was when I booted it up for the first time. I was able to skip this, so I figured it was optional. If I could not skip it, I would have refunded the game right then. I do not have a Playstation and I have no intention in giving Sony, the company with some of the worst security, any information. All they want is to inflate their PSN numbers for an upcoming stockholder meeting and to harvest more data to sell. They waited until Helldivers 2 reached unprecedented popularity then rolled out this requirement after people had long passed Steam's typical refund policy. Luckily, it seems Steam is in agreement that this is unacceptable and is giving out refunds. We shall see if Sony decides to change their mind about this or if they'll double-down. If they do not make it optional for all Steam players, I will refund. Whether Arrowhead is complicit in this is unclear to me; two community managers seem to say it's Arrowhead pushing this while devs seem to say it's all Sony. I'm honestly fine to push all the blame on Sony; as long as I don't have to create a new account to satisfy some stupid business major.

As of November 28th, 2024, the unlisted countries are still unlisted. The negative stays.
