Final Fantasy if it were made by Zack Snyder. Could be GOTY we shall see...

Edit: Just finished the game, This game has surpassed my expectations in every way, I took a chance pre-ordering despite never having played a Turn Based game for longer than an hour and I have no regrets. UE5 still has some obvious performance issues here, But I enabled Smooth Motion in the Nvidia app for a locked 120 fps play-through.

If you are on the fence about buying this game for any reason, don't be, it is sure to please even if this genre of game isn't your forte.

Its a faithful remake of a cherished entry into the Elder scrolls franchise, All with a fresh coat of paint and welcome QoL improvements (like sprinting...). Unfortunately, same as any game using UE5, this game is loaded full of Stutters and hitches from simply traversing the games open world, Even on an RTX 5090 and a R9 9950X3D (Locked to CCD0) this game runs very poorly and has very blatant and noticeable texture pop in problems. My biggest gripe however is the color grading, the golden hues and intense coloring of the original title is completely crushed and gray in this remaster, The magic that much of the scenery had is gone.

I am confident that with time, performance can be ironed out and improved and hopefully they can touch up on color grading or at least have options similar to something like Dying Light 2. If poor performance and bog standard UE5 color grading doesn't bother you though, This game is sure to please as Oblivion is a very fun game.

Runs great on a 5090 (which is a given), looks very pretty. Now the problem is that it isn't the full game, I was very much under the impression and I know i'm not the only one that thought this was the full game. I was very excited to play this given the monster PC I've built but there isn't a point to since its a partial release...

Aside from the awful temporal instability literally everywhere in this game, its pretty darn good.

Missing some pretty important video options, but a much improved release over the awful and disappointing blurriness of the PS5 version. Would like to see support for uncapped (or at least 240) fps in the future.

Super unsettling but in an intriguing way, so far enjoying it. Never played any of the originals but I thought the E3 presentation looked good so I bought in. Performance is not great but about what id expect from these newer games using RTGI and Lumen and whatever render buzzwords Unreal Engine has. Because its unreal engine it does stutter some just from traversal even on high end hardware, Cut-scenes are also capped to 30 fps which is meh, hoping a patch from Bloober or a fix gets posted to github. Very Meh performance aside, Its great even if you are new to the series. I'd love to see Konami continue to make a comeback.

Edit: Just Finished the game, I cant say for sure if what i'm feeling is recency bias but I enjoyed this game even more then the outstanding RE2 remake. The Visuals, The Soundtrack and the Story were all top notch, I might go and pick up the old games for my PS3 and play through them because this was great. + A cut-scene fps fix did show up on Nexus which was nice!

Very nice tool for Games like Elden ring and additionally games that bug out past certain frame rates like Skyrim. Frame rate unlockers or patches to fix buggyness of said unlockers are better but for this also being an option for lower end PCs or simply people who don't want to bother messing with the games and just have a one click option, Its hard not to recommend this. Good on Digital foundry to put this on peoples radar recently, love to see more competition in this niche.

I'm actually shocked, they dropped an expansion that doesn't only not suck? but its actually good and fun? I wouldn't have believed it a month ago. Raid was 10/10. Well done Bungie.
