A solid game overall. It offers a nice mix of exploration, crafting, and survival, with just the right amount of challenge to keep things interesting. Though obviously the difficult can be adjusted. The variety in gear, biomes, and enemies is nice. While it can feel a bit grindy at times, that grind can also be somewhat therapeutic—it’s the kind of experience where you can zone out and just go into autopilot mode, but in a good way.

Although it doesn’t reinvent the wheel, it’s still a fun game. If you enjoy survival, base building, and exploration, it’s definitely worth playing, especially at the price it is, and even more so if you get it during a sale. It's fun even when playing solo, but I’d also say that the game is way more enjoyable when played with friends.

A fantastic game!

- Cool variety in classes and builds ensure that most playthroughs can be a unique experience.
- A vibrant environment
- Fantastic with friends (still good even solo)
- Challenging but doable. Even some of the more difficult bosses/levels can be beaten with a thought-out strategy and build--it's not simply button mashing.

It might looks simple on the surface, but Ember Knights has many deep elements. Give it a shot!

A great game. Given that each mission lasts around 30 minutes or under, it is one of those games that's easy to pick up, but a bit difficult to put down -- it's addictive. You get a great range of characters and cool abilities to choose from.

Don't let the simple look of it fool you, it requires strategy and skill. Plus, given it's cheap price and amount of value you get from it, it's absolutely a win-win. Give it a try!

A very difficult but fun game. Scary at times, but that fear turns to tension as you complete each of the ten rituals -- the monster's hunt cool down goes down with each. There are some strategies to winning, but even still, by the time you get to the last ritual it becomes a crazy challenge.

Many probably compare it to Phas. Graphically, it is similar, but the gameplay and strategy are very different. Devour pushes you to be very proactive in order to complete the mission, whereas Phas requires more patience and investigation. I recommend Devour, but to have the best chance of success, you ought to have three other player, preferably friends.

Looking forward to the new Slaughterhouse map.

Think L4D, but with more emphasis on melee weapons.
Having not played Vemintide 1, I cannot compare the two.

Pros
- Graphics looks nice.
- Each class offers something different through weaponry and abilities.
- Difficulty variations that suit what you are comfortable with.
- If a Warhammer fan, getting to fight Skaven/Chaos up close is great fun! You'll love it!

Con
- Lacks long term content.

Ultimately, it is a fun game; especially if you are playing with friends (randoms too), but I do wish that there were more maps or content overall to keep me satiated. Having finished the vanilla game maps (no DLC), while I have enjoyed repeating those on higher difficulties, nonetheless, I can't help but feel that the vanilla game could offer a little more. Yes, I know there is paid-for DLC available but I am focusing on the vanilla game specifically. If you are a Warhammer and/or L4D fan, I am confident you will enjoy this and highly recommend you to get it, especially during a sale.

Simply put, this game is great fun! Especially when playing with friends.
The variety of classes and weapons ensures that that each player can have a crucial role during the game!

The game play is smooth, it looks nice and the variety of challenges, difficulties and different map layouts gives something different each time.

(Nov. 2020) The game is still a joy to play. Gets updated regularly and enough new content is released periodically to ensure that existing players still have new things to experience, unlock, explore, etc.

(Dec. 2021) There are very few games out there that have had the level of updates and attention that Deep Rock has had. This game is still an absolute blast to play and most definitely deserves a top 100 spot on any game list.

This game is a true gem!

Rock and stone, brothers!

Early Access Review
Overall a good game so far. Lot's of strategy available and a smarter AI than many other RTS games. Some troop controls still need a little work, such as the charge option. However it's being updated all the time so any small issues should be dealt with fairly quickly
