I saw a comment somewhere that basically summarized this masterpiece:

"This gives me nostalgia of playing Final Fantasy as a kid and I love it for that."

I'll keep it simple and say that this game is up there (in my opinion) with the likes of Elden Ring and Baldur's Gate 3. I won't be surprised if it wins GOTY and it 100% a worthwhile investment if you like a modern twist on turn-based JRPGs.

Aside from the performance issues that people have been discussing enough already, my review of the game itself is positive.

Pros:

- The combat flow is a lot better than in the past and feels less wonky to play.
- This game is honestly the best starting game for new players coming to try out Monster Hunter, as it's learning curve isn't as steep as past games.
- I found that the gameplay loop is enjoyable and not as tedious as past titles in the series.
- Really like the addition of Seikrets (ngl I lowkey think they are MH's version of Chocobos) and the ability to swap weapons.

Cons:
- This might sounds bad, but coming from past MH games, I feel like these fights are way too easy and can feel like sometimes I'm just hitting a practice dummy in some fights. I hope that they implement some more difficult monsters in the future to make it feel like more of challenge to complete, as someone who has played past titles.
- I wish that there was a way to layer your weapons as it has been done before, but it isn't implemented in Wilds for some reason?
- The story is okay...? I feel like it's better than Worlds, so I guess it's a step in the right direction, but if you are here for the story then expect a mid-tier story.

Early Access Review
Have gotten to lvl 96 on Stormweaver and 92 on Invoker. Game is fun for the current state it is in and well worth the investment if you are an ARPG fan. It is Early Access, so expect some bugs, but even then the game is pretty well tune on the QA side of things for being in EA. Not perfect, but better than most other games in Early Access.

Great design, fun combat, a lot of replay-ability, easy to play but hard to master, deaths didn't feel annoying like some roguelites. It's well worth the money given the amount of content you are given!

This was one of my most beloved childhood games. I remember spending countless hours on my Dreamcast with my sister in the Chao Garden just raising Chao itself. The main storyline is great (and I have yet to beat the end stage even though it's been like 20 years) and wish that Sega would release a game specifically around the Chao Garden, as it was sooo fun for me when I was a kid and I could see them somewhat competing with other big name titles like pokemon.

Don't let my steam hours played fool you, as I played through all of ff13 on my xbox 360 and decided to purchase the PC version so I have a copy that I will be able to keep forever.

I might be one of the outliers, but I personally think ff13 is in the top 3 favorite final fantasy titles, along with final fantasy 10 and 7. I don't quite understand some people dislike for the game, maybe it's the shift to a more fast pace strategy game in comparison to previous titles where you could take some time to plan out your moves. However, I personally like the game's tempo as it isn't too fast that you can't plan put your plays, but is fast enough to still keep you on your toes. Again, idk why there was a dislike for ff13 and I would give the game a 10/10 (as I would do the same for ff10 and ff7, though I might give ff7 a 11/10). The game is worth playing in my opinion and I personally think it is better than even the newer released ff15.

This hack and slash/dungeon crawler game is extremely fun given that it is free to play. The developers of PoE are really dedicated towards making the game enjoyable years after it's initial release. With the creation of seasons, the game has a lot of replayobilty that other games in this genre lack. Though I will say that the replayobilty is both a blessing and a curse sometimes, as you tend to do the same thing over and over again with each season and hopefully the new mechanics for that season is interesting to the point that you don't mind doing the same thing you have done dozens of times over again. Though to be fair, there is a ENORMOUS skill tree that allows you to branch out and try hundreds of different builds to make each playthrough unique.

Overall I would rate the game a 9/10, with the only two real downsides for me being that the game can feel repetitive at times and also their trading system can be a bit complicated and they have no real in-game trading center to centralize trading and make the process be more efficient.

Got this game way back when it was released on the Xbox 360 and got this on Steam right before they stopped selling it. This game is highly underrated for how good it is and am surprised at the lack of reception I received given that it came from such a popular publisher (Square Enix). The game has its flaws, but it is really fun setting up you teams for battle and having a strategy for each team and how they will work together as a group and with the other teams. A 10/10 game that unfortunately didn't get the reception it deserved.

As someone who has played previous Final Fantasy titles, I personally think that the game was designed to try something new but was delivered somewhat poorly. I did have fun playing the game, and I do like what Square Enix is trying to do with the game. I just think that it didn't quite hit the mark to make it be one of my favorites from their titles. HOWEVER, I think that future releases will likely improve on the failures of this game and make one freaking awesome game in the future. Also as a small side note, I think the story wasn't too great which didn't help and maybe upcoming releases will have better storylines (as I know from past titles that Square Enix has the capability to create great stories in their games).

EDIT: I will mention here that I have not completed the game yet, so I could end up being completely wrong about the story and could find it to be really good in the end. If I find it to be that way, I will definitely edit my review.

So would I recommend this game? I probably would say it is worth it when there is a sale going on for the game, but probably not for the $35 price tag. Overall I give the game a 7/10
