This game is a lot of fun, but I cannot recommend it at this point in time. I enjoyed the mechanics, it's very fun, when I can get it to work.

I have sat for an hour in queue, waiting to log in. But the servers are full.

they have been full with me checking on and off all day.

They don't have a system to kick people who are AFK.

I guarantee you that all those server slots? They're filled up by people who don't want to log out and lose their place.

If they fix this I'll gladly change my review, but uhh. . .until they get this fixed? Skip it.

Edit: I have not been stuck on server cap for a while now. I think they fixed it, so grab it. It's fun as hell.

Considering these guys have been working for so long, without just taking the money and running, I think they really want to make the best game they can. Not always the brightest ideas, but they'll listen.

The Adventures of Billibob and Cletus: Day 1

Cletus and I, bein' of sound mind an' body went an' signed the papers needed t'be a gen-yuu-ine hunter. . .Honestly we wus gonna be ones anyways but this means th' government don' get sos upset when we start shootin' at idjits on our family's land. Sherrif Brown's a good fella but even he wus gettin' tired of us shootin' firs' an' askin' questions never.

Our first day wus a big success, I bagged me a big ol' spider an' Cletus got 'emself 'is big ol' jackass wearin' a pig's head! Musta had some mighty powerful chilli or somethin' 'cause he kept on belchin' out flames. Wes got paid for us havin' fun. What won't 'em governmen' types think of next, eh?

Then we saw onna 'em sombitches comin' onto my pappys land, god rest his soul. So I loaded m' repeater an' we put 'em in th' ground where 'e right belong. Didn' even need t'give Sherrif Brown a taste of m' moonshine in order t'get 'em to look th' other ways neither! Jus' got a wink an' a nod after we set 'is bloody papers on th' table. . .even got a bonus fer it! Ah'm callin' on all m'cousins t'come down an' help us out. Jebediah, herschal, all 'em good ol' boys. C'mon down to th' bayou. We'll get'cha killin' monsters an' sombitches faster'n a pig goes fer th' slop trough! Yaaahooo! Get 'em boys!

The Long Dark is an amazing early alpha game with a unique art style. You're trapped in a frozen forest, fighting the cold and trying to scavenge and survive however you can. No zombies, wolves are a danger, but the biggest enemy is the elements. The art style is so good when I played, I actually felt colder. The sound design is incredible, with things like your teeth chattering, your breath panting heavily as you get colder and colder. The world is oppressive, cold, and unfeeling. You're just another creature trying to survive here, nothing here is actively evil, and yet you can almost feel a malice in the wind as it chills your character to the bone.

S'really good s'what I'm saying.

One of the best management sims, with a twist, of course. Reccomended to anyone who aspires for world domination.

Best. Horror game. Ever.

This is one of those games that gets your pulse pounding, jumping at every sound, fumbling for any light you can find, pissing your pants as you hide behind a box until the big scary monster goes away. Basically you regress to a child thats terrified of the dark.

But don't love the light too much! The brighter the area, the more likely the monsters will spot you, and tear you to shreds.

A spiritual sequel to the old *OLD* game, known as Spaceward Ho, this takes the spaceward Ho formula and adds in so many different things, it'll make your head spin.

Only con I can really say is that the tutorials are very...well, brief. They don't offer much teaching in order to learn how to do everything. Your best bet is to go to their forums and start asking things, or just start experimenting to see what happens when you do this.

Every time you play the game, its unique. The tech tree is randomised, allowing for no two playthroughs to be the same. Design and build your own ships, select the weapons for the hard points, and even lead your ships in combat, or don't!

The battles are fully physically realized, allowing you to ram enemy ships, use a tractor beam, even use mass drivers to knock other ships about.

A great game, even if at times it feels like the game shoves you into a pool of water and shouts at you to swim, without nary a lesson on how to swim.
