It's hard to say if I recommend War Thunder.
On the one hand, +- a good game with interesting mechanics, gameplay and gamemodes. On the other hand, microtransactions, grind... Markers in RB that annoys, dead SB, an arcade that you don't want to play. Did you know that there is a fleet in this game? Forget it. Nobody plays it.
In order to quickly reach some F-16 with Abrams, you will need to pay AT LEAST $120-200. Premium jet and tank + premium account. And if you play for 8-12 hours a day, then in a month you will achieve your goal.
It sounds sad. But it's even sadder that the balance is killed at high ranks, and if you don't play as uptier on 12.0+, I feel sorry for you.
But what keeps me in this game is only the ranks from 1.0 to 5.0. Good balance, pleasant gameplay, no piles of garbage multi-button mechanics.

If you love the WWII period, this is the game for you.
If you want to play with modern technology, pass by.

To describe the game in a few words, it's "Porridge from XCOM mixed with Door Kickers, seasoned with This is The Police."
And if fully fledged, then this is essentially a plot offshoot after XCOM 2 (yes, it is), where your main fighters are not only people, but also chimeras (people crossed with aliens).
The game consists of unique characters, so there is no customization as before, but they are now "alive", and not as dummies before, and that's even a little sad. Cut scenes have been replaced by hand-drawn inserts in the style of a comic book, which looks very nice. The gameplay is basically the same XCOM, but the main thing has changed - the order of the move. This fact has made adjustments to the conduct of the battle, which is even... Probably good.
In general, the game is normal, it will go for 999 rubles. It would be even easier if it were a DLC for XCOM 2, which could be played after passing the company, and which added all new chips to the basic gameplay.
You can kill a couple of evenings in it, but my impressions are too mixed, so I'm still thinking about a refund, and I can't say for sure whether it's worth taking or not. To do this, it's better to watch videos or streams or "download a demo", if you understand what I'm talking about, so that there is a minimum opinion.
I still recommend getting acquainted with the game.

While I was rummaging through the steam, which has a lot of trash, I remembered about this game. Unlike other indie-diarrhea, the game really differs in its personality. Unique gameplay, atmosphere, DEEP DARK fantasy. A good turn-based combat system. And hardcore. Deserved 12/10

You can find anime wallpapers, you can find something with cars, something with games.
Or you can do something yourself. Personally, I have a Doomslayer's ass turned full screen. And it's animated. I am satisfied. 10/10, must buy.

I bought this game about 8 years ago. Nothing has changed. The community is the same, the gameplay is the same, the graphics are as terrible as the animations.
But thanks to this game, you can find yourself a masochistic woman, since such girls like to be followed by maniacs and psychopaths.
if you don't have a goal to find a girlfriend, don't buy it.
