Overall a nice addition to a the base management genre
there is a lot of potential available for this game that I hope will be realized!

Pros: similar vibes to other games of it's type, the exotic setting will allow for a lot of plot expansion and it feels like there is a lot of room to expand into new mechanics should the devs decide to

the writing is quirky and appropriate for the different types of characters that are show cased

the art style and sound design are well done and seem rather polished for an early access title

Cons: current most egregious bug to me personally is a few pathing issues with the meeples, enemies and allies seem to have a chance to ignore built walls so be careful where you dig!

There is a tutorial but it needs some more work on providing context, if you haven't played similar types of these games before you may be lost before looking up a Youtube video on how to proceed.

currently defending you base is more a balance of 'can i afford to rebuild my power network vs. can I afford to hire and keep enough guards to defend my power network' there isn't yet a lot of options beyond that. (no automated defenses that I had unlocked or could see in the tech tree)

in summary:
the game is in early access and was just released. while there is a whole game, the gameplay experience feels like there is more on the horizon. If the concept of the game intrigues you I'd encourage you to vote with your wallet. Otherwise adding it to your wishlist and checking back in on it after it's had more time to bake would be a great idea too.

Don't play this game alone.

The casual solo play experience is a miserable slog through RNG which will eventually lead you to abandoning game session after game session because you got overwhelmed without having a critical upgrade.

Also, get a controller, while they did their best with the keyb layout there isn't really a way to modify it that won't cramp your fingers after an hour.
