One of the all-time classics. The 1997 original set the stage, and this 1999 sequel expanded with new features, balancing and an even greater selection of historical campaigns, deep into the Middle Ages. Entertaining for anyone interested in historic battles, storied campaigns, engaging RTS mechanics or fierce multiplayer matches.

Refreshing take on the Minesweeper game. Like the cinematics, just as fun as the original and it's even educational. Relaxing to sit down with and enjoy.

Worth the read, for a nostalgic drop back to 1998 and 2004. WIth a very 'Half-Life' soundtrack. Buy it, turn it on, and let the story unfold. Costs in total less than a cinema visit, but is just as immersive. Looking forward to more chapters.

It's Quake. Old but gold, and nothing beats it speed and simplicity.

Early Access Review
Black Mesa is a faithful remake of one of the best FPS games ever made. A great game by itself, it offers a modern challenge while still being a feast of recognition for players of the original. As one who enjoyed the original releases of Half-Life, Opposing Force and Blue Shift, this one is definitively worth your time for a revisit to the universe.

Fun little game, mostly because of its satire. Actually became very relevant again, as alternative models for publisher income -such as lootboxes- may become subjected to new legislation. Sometimes I long for the time again when a disc was just... an actual full product.

One of the reviewers mentioned Blade Runner; this one is right up there in terms of setting. immersion and gameplay. If you like (sci-fi) point&click, you can´t let this one pass.

Entertaining, although not very versatile. The idea of mixing RPG elements by creating an evolving ship is nice, but merely replaces the opportunity to switch spacecrafts and try out new combinations. Missions might become repetitive (and far less challenging) once you understand the basic components which they are constructed with.

If you are looking for an in-depth 4X game along the lines of X: Beyond the Frontier and its sequels, this might be too shallow for you. If you are looking for a more space combat focused game, give it a try. Do not expect the intensity of a Freelancer or Freespace, but at least it might still the hunger until a next Indepence War sequel arrives.
