To answer the burning question, is it fun. The answer is yes. Is there flaws, sure, but the skeleton that the game is working on is just as solid as the work as the devs have put in to address the concerns and complaints they received as feedback during the playtests.

There's a lot more flexibility and freedom within the game with how the classes are all set up and the weapons are quality over quantity, letting you modify them to be how you want to use them instead of everyone buying the same 3 guns, per perk, per game.

And frankly the tools being a consumable instead of being locked to a specific class is a lot better for the health of the game, not needing a Commando to resupply the team, just needing an ammo bag is a wonderful change.

The same with the changes in Zeds and their behaviour, after the time I had spent in Killing Floor with the mod and the first two games I wasn't fearing the hordes, they posed little threat, and now it feels like they have teeth again. Now that may just be a side effect of the speed of the game and no longer being able to as easily kite them, but they feel oppressive.

I'm happy I bought into it, and I look forward to seeing how the devs continue to shape Killing Floor 3.

This is a reminder, that this is not the first time that Phoenix Labs have screwed the player base.

As an original Founder back before they moved over to Epic, when they "repurposed" rewards that we had paid for as Founders, anchoring our support and names within the game, we had to chase them up on being reimbursed. Then shortly after they moved over to Epic they created yet another supporter bundle, pulling in more players with honeyed words of supporting them in the early stages and supporting the growth of the game.

People that have paid for items, have lost them, people that have made progress, have lost that, this is the second time they have scorned players for the sake of opening up to a new market. This was marketed as a grand hunt game like Monster Hunter, crafting weapons and armors from the behemoths we were slaying, that is gone, whatever this game's vision was, whatever identity it had, is lost.

Let's see if they make a third founder's bundle this time.

EDIT: ♥♥♥♥ around find out guys. You did this to yourselves.

The game itself is more than likely a name that you have heard about before, and at this point chances are what you heard about Payday 2 were far from positive. The game has had a lot of problems along the way, from bugs within the game that made it unplayable at times, to poorly implemented choices into the game that made the developers look like massive hypocrites.

It's a great way to spend some time with a group of buddies and just mindlessly murder the USA's entire police force within a matter of hours. The heists, even after coming up to 1600 hours in the game are still enjoyable, be it being played solo, or with a group, the game now in it's current state with the entire collection bundled together is a great way for people new and old to catch up to everything that they have potentially missed out on since the game's release. Even to this day the game is still far from perfect but it's half of the charm of it. Payday 2 would not be the same without it's bugs and glitches, sure, they may become a nuisance at times, but they're something that can be shrugged off as quickly as going into a fresh heist.

The learning curve for Payday 2, as well as the grind to get yourself started in your heisting career is a lot easier now than it was back with Infamy 1.0, and the initial release of Infamy 2.0, which in turn having made it easier to gain experience and progress yourself, also has removed the neccessity of what used to be grinding the same sets of heists, burning yourself out in time as the tedium of running down the same street and locking the same door, after framing Nancy again, and Bain only knows how many times that's been done now.

Whether or not you enjoy Payday 2 is entirely up to you, you will craft your own experience, you will decide how you want the heist to pan out, and you more than likely will have countless Cloakers give you that lovely boot imprint on your face, time after time. All that you need to do is don your mask and take the plunge.

This is the fighting game that you give to a friend who doesn't play fighting games to learn, the Steam Edition of Killer Instinct comes with all of the characters as well as the extra premium skins that were added into the game. Killer Instinct has arguably one of the best tutorial systems that I have played with in recent years, if not one of the best period. It allows you to learn at a reasonable pace each and every one of the specific features of the game, including assists so that people are able to learn what combo breaker they need to use versus specific attacks. Combo Assist in this is less a crutch or a hand hold mechanic and more of a guide when it comes to using combos, it will automatically add in linkers to combos so that people who are unfamiliar with the game aren't left mashing buttons and making a fool of themselves because they don't know what they are doing, it will free flow the fight as best as it can to help guide people toward what they need to be doing, showing off what specials people could be doing to link the combo together and maximize the amount of damage they could possibly get, and due to the combo meter it stops people from being locked into combos forever since once a combo ends you are forced away, either by the opponent's combo ender or the combo forcing itself closed.

The price that they ask for on Steam you will get more out of the game than you could expect from something this priced. There are two story modes specific to the first two seasons of characters that came out, then with Season 3, which brought back the two original bosses from the franchise, Shadow Lords, a seperate scenario style campaign in which you pick the team that you wish to take in your attempt to overthrow the Shadow Lord himself. That's without taking into account the Shadow Lab mode which allows you to train a Shadow of yourself, an AI that learns and builds off your own patterns to fight in a similar manner to yourself, these Shadows are used within its own unique survival mode, as well as special missions that can crop up within the Shadow Lord mode.

If you're after a fighting game to get into, or you're looking to get a friend into fighting games, this is the best one that you could possibly start with, since it will not only teach the specific mechanics to this one, but also allow you to learn in time a lot of the mechanics that other competitive fighters share, though this one, eases you into it, so that it is a less daunting experience, as well as being much friendlier to new players.
