Puzzles are decent but the dodging portions are rage inducing nonsense that suck the fun right out of the game and because of it getting all the achievements was a nightmare

Last time I played this classic game was the Xbox Live Arcade port on the 360 and it's great to be able to add it to my steam collection to enjoy again for the low low price of Free

This is the DLC pack you want if you played this game on the Xbox 360 as it contains the textures you remember

We are 4 patches into the game and yet it still has memory leaks that cause stuttering in game after playing for around 1-2 hours that are so massive it requires restarting your entire PC for your PC to be usable again in any capacity as it bogs down the entire system. (Only game in my 500+ game library with this issue)

My other issue with the game is that I just lost 10.7 hours of progress due to my saves getting rendered unloadable/locked on me for no reason other than trying to run the game as administrator (in an attempt to try to fix the stuttering that occurs after playing the game for too long (because the game has a memory leak)).

Removing the Run as Administrator checkmark from the games properties did not unlock my saves or alleviate the issue. Restoring my progress required finding a "fix" to solve the issue which I will link to in this review (I am no longer trying to run the game as Admin so I don't know if this will allow running the game as admin)

I still lost progress having to do this "fix", but I only lost ~40 minutes of progress instead of 10 hours so there's that I guess. Fix is located here: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/app/2215430/discussions/0/7093810350796123954/

It is absolutely ridiculous that this can happen, what possible reason could there be to lock someones save files on them? Hint, There isn't one

I will be leaving my review as negative until Nixxes fixes the Horrendous System Lag inducing Memory Leak and the Save System issues

(This game is the only game I have that has a memory leak so massive that you have to restart the entire PC to be able to do anything with your PC again)

This was a great game and it sucks to see the studio get shut down, they put a lot of love into this game with the updates and additional content added over time equating to essentially free dlc and it's sad to see them go, I don't know how it would have been possible based on the ending of the game, but I would have loved to see the dev team have a chance to make a sequel to this game.

The story is tied to the supernatural and Japanese folk lore with a lot of interesting information packed into the lore/logs that talks about the various ghosts/monsters in that folklore.

The game is graphically amazing and the soundtrack is just as great. One thing I would recommend, is even if you can't speak the language (like I can't) I would highly recommend playing it with the Japanese Voice Actors and subtitles, I've heard the english version of Akito and K.K. talk in youtube videos and it feels way out of place, not because it is in english, but because the voices really don't sound like they would be coming from the game characters, the english voices feel out of place and the Japanese voices feel much more in touch with the characters and like that was the way the game was intended to be experienced.

The combat offers 4 different elemental skills called Ethereal Weaving with each one having different use cases and specials as well as a bow for when you run out of "mana" as well as various Talismans that you can use. Throughout the world you can find equipment and items to either purchase or hidden for you to find that will further increase your strength and the amount of mana you have available to you, you go from feeling absolutely helpless in the world around you to becoming a badass that can take on any challenge the game can throw your way as you level up and progress.

I had a lot of fun playing it, and it was a great time for me, my only complaint with the game is I feel the ending should have been different, but besides that, it can quite possibly go down as one of my favorite games and if you are into games like this I would definitely recommend giving it a try

Getting your Balls Waxed would be more entertaining than this hell

This DLC is frustratingly bad and is nothing but an absolute slog to try to play through, This DLC is Rico's Nam and is confirmed to be the reason why 3/5 players that have tried this DLC cry themselves to sleep at night

Rumors are this DLC is so miserable because the Dev who came up with the idea used to like to put his own nuts in Vice Grips, and wanted to bring that level of pain and excitement to players of Just Cause 4 by bringing us this truly wonderful DLC

This game is a classic FPS with RPG elements to it where you level up your skills and can add augmentations to yourself to add up to around 10-12 special abilities. Some of your choices that you make in each mission can affect the story and how it plays out, but besides that, when you get to the end you'll have 3 endings to chose from depending on what objectives you decide to do on the last mission.

You'll need to remap some of the controls to buttons you are comfortable with as its a 20 year old game, but if you have never played it before it's worth a play-through for sure if it's genre is something you are into, there is a reason this game has been so well loved by it's fans over the years
