An excellent survivor-like (or whatever the genre is called). Lots of replayability and the gear system allows for a decent amount of builds. The game is clearly made with endgame in mind with lots of achievments and artefacts to find once you completed the final area (ending shows the devs aren't done with the game).

A very pleasant surprise. Expected a vampire survivor with a deep rock coat of paint over it but it managed to retain its rock digging identity while giving its own spin on the formula.

Lack of sovl in the voice acting
the weapons lack any punch
you played one round you have seen the entirety of what the game has to offer
predatory dlc system
cool dark ambiance replaced by some neon ♥♥♥♥
tedious levelling system where talents barely seem to matter at the end of the day

Repulsive practice where most of the new sets (among them the Krieg ones what a surprise) cost 2900 while this edition only gives 2500

TLDR : excellent game, repulsive compagny behind it.

Set around the beginning of the End Time of Warhammer Fantasy, this game is about slicing, crushing, piercing, shooting unclean vikings and disgusting ratmen. The story itself is simple enough, forgetable but it doesn't matter since the character we play and hear interact are extremely enjoyable and endearing :

-Kruber, hat collector extraordinaire, drunk and best boy all around
-Saltzpyre one of the very few fanatic that doesn't become annoying after ten minutes of listening to him (he has mild disgust for janitors based) and is much more than meets the eye
-Bardin the dwarf being joyful but still a grumbler
-Sienna a grandma crack/fire addict which is both the most and the least mature part of the band
-elf

The gameplay is a viceral and audibly violent, you hear and see limbs getting cut, and it never ceases to be satisfying. It is hard to master but feels great once you get the flow going. Helped by an excellent sound direction (except when it doesn't work but we will get to that later) and by an intricate system which has much more mechanic than meets the eye while not being totally a chore to learn or necessary at the lower difficulties. That game is for weird shut-ins with no life and body spray as much as it is for casuals wanting to mow down hordes of vermins with friends.

With a system of 3 classes each (4 if we count the dlcs classes) it's hard to get bored or repetitive, the free DLC chaos waste adds also some story, character growth, banters and a rogue lite system (for those pissing on it this dlc is restricted to its own thing so no need to piss in your pants and ruin it for the rest).

Now the negatives :

The current state of the game is great but this has been born in pain, a few years of bugs, dev incomptence and missmanaged by a compagny that has more contempt for its playerbase than the Iron Warriors have for their trench diggers (if you want to know how it is just look at Darktide).

Adding to that the fact that class dlcs and their cosmetics are on a separate bundle you get an idea of the priority but still.

So go grab it on sale, that way you won't lose much.

I played a bit so I could also use the reviews to ♥♥♥♥ on the malpractices of Blizzard as a whole.

>The positivies first :

The old heroes like Ana or Reinhart are still a treat to play and I still like their voices, the old skins in general are gorgeous
The game pretty much plays like the first
I hope all the SFM porn will train a new generation of talented animator so we don't get another visual abortion like Turning Red

>now the negativies

OOOOOOOOOOOH BOY WHERE DO I BEGIN

Of course let's start with the battlepass. Before , the system was overly complicated for us players : whenever a new hero was released we got it instantly for free without hassle (pretty sure the first week or two the new was disabled in ranked which is understandable) and we had to just farm for skins if we wanted. Now it's so much better ! I have to play a battlepass (shareholders favorite mechanic) to get the right to play the new heroes, even in unranked games ! Even the ones from the previous seasons !

I also love that they changed the designs of all the old champs as if anyone asked for this, maybe should have used that budget and time to craft a real PVE ? YOU KNOW THE ENTIRE EXCUSE YOU USED TO GRAFT A BATTLEPASS TO THE GAME

Lastly throw all the gays, pansexual, robophiles and MAP defenders you want we still know you have a ♥♥♥♥ ton of sexual harassment cases , Cassidy will still be Mccree for everyone and pretty sure a dev even killed herself after working for you

So yeah the game can be fun if only it wasn't between the greedy hands of Acti/Blizzard. But hey ! Am sure the merger with Microsoft will fix everything right ?! A growing monopoly can only be good for the customers right ?!

The game PR is an horrible ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, basically telling us that if we want bugfixes we gotta pay their overpriced DLC. Sieges are still the most cancerous time I ever had in this game, sorting mods in their outdated launcher is more fun
