As someone who has been playing Ace Attorney games since the first one came out on DS, and has completed every game in the series,
i was seriously impressed by Tyrion Cuthbert: Attorney of the Archane. It has gameplay similar to the main series Ace Attorney games as well as a system somewhat similar to the logic chess from GK 2, but relying much more on persuading someone based on their personality and ethical values in addition to pure evidence.

The setting, which clearly takes inspiration from D&D was a great spin on the genre. I felt like my personal experience with D&D helped me conceptualize the spells, but the game does a great job of explaining everything about its magic system.

I found all of the characters that I was supposed to like extremely likable including maybe one I should not have. If you've beaten the game you can probably guess. I don't think what he did was right but I can see how he felt trapped into making the decisions he did.

It's significantly less obtuse than some of the stuff in the older games Ace Attorney games, but not as brain dead easy as the newer ones. As long as you're following the story and checking your evidence, everything will fall into place.

Easy 10/10 for me and my personal GOTY. I would definitely play a sequel.
