Having put nearly 80 hours of playtime into this game, I have quite a bit to say. So lets try to do it in a non-rambely way.
-Story
Its great. Great enough that I dont want to touch on it too much and to just give my word that you'll want to go into it blind. I would recommend the street backstory though as it makes the relationship between V and Jackie seem alot more fleshed out vs some guy who wants an iguana or this high up corpo being friends with some hood for no real reason. Just trust me, street is the way to go. But corpo has alot of nice dialoge options since the majority of the story revolves around corporations.
-Driving
This is a big one to me. Being an open world and all. I have to say, its bad... the cars are all great, very well done. CDPR really did live up to the hype on the models of the cars. The sounds are passable.. I suppose? Theyre just weak.. Muffled sounding. I feel like the engines and especially tire sounds should be noticibly louder. The background drone of the city is so loud i feel like i can hardly hear the car at all sometimes. Now the physics. Theyre straight up bad. not the absolute worst thing ever, but i do not enjoy driving. The motorbikes are slightly better, but its no excuse. Id compare the driving physics to be similar to watchdogs. i feel like they would have been better off with a need for speed 2015 feel for the driving. Its hard to describe, but everything related to the cars just feels and sounds muted.
-Shooting
Now this is where it gets good. I really enjoy the combat in the game. But only if you use the movement systems to their fullest. You NEED the double jump cyberware, and lots of stamina. its soo fun to sprint full speed, jump, take a shot off, jump again to keep the momentum up then land on someone with those arm claw things. or maybe sprint, slide then double jump up and clamber up onto a roof. The parkour system is actually really good. combine that with double jump and the slide while being able to aim down sights and reload while either sprinting or sliding... its a very fast paced titanfall-esk shooter experience. trust me, invest some perk points to free yourself up for all the momentum stuff and youll really enjoy it. Its a high skill ceiling.
-RPG
Now... this is a tricky one. Obviously i didnt expect to be able to have a real tabletop rpg experience. this is a story driven game and you have to progress through it somehow. so ill compare it to the witcher 3. great game, most definitly a "role playing" game. As in youre taking on the role of Geralt. Same here. You're V and you choose what they'll do in these pre made situations. It would be nice to know what choices lead to real consequenses and which ones are mostly there just to hear V say something different but the other character replies the same way, but oh well. In general, if you dont expect too much of it, its a good rpg. plenty of stats, skills, and trees to upgrade v in the playstyle you like.
-world
I really like NC. sadly, because of the AI, i wouldnt call it better than, say Los Santos. Its very detailed, dense, sprawling, and yes. If you turn the graphical settings up, it does look amazing. Ive seen what people are complaining about as far as graphics, and im telling you that its the hardware. If you have the hardware to run this at max settings, it looks amazing. That said, i do have gripes. LOD is a big one. I have a pretty beefy GPU and pop in is very real. npc and cars, mostly, look like theyre being loaded in as im already facing that direction. It would be one thing if i were whipping the camera around but theirs been dozens of times that ive just been standing in place and a car drives by looking like its from a sega genesis... This is unacceptable and needs fixed. On a lighter note, the side quests are great. just as flushed out as the main quests, just like witcher 3. Big props on filling the world with actually interesting quests. Im not sure id call it exactly a side quest, but the ones that let johnny take control to rock out were so cool.
-Now lets talk bugs.
Yes, there are bugs. are they as bad as other review? I dont think so. ive seen a few t poses and gotten a bike stuck on a few things, but thats it. most of my annoyances is from having too many conversations going on at once or having ui elements stuck on screen, forcing s reload. they seriously need to impliment a "if character is within range to reply to a conversation, then tell the fixer to shut the ♥♥♥♥ up for a moment" system. this happens all the time. i can live with an item popped up at the side of the screen for a moment while i quicksave and reload. but the conversations overlapping? very annoying. though, it is a very nice conversation system. very fluent and open, bound to have bugs. this is how you do a dialog system.

So in summary, Cyberpunk 2077 is a badass game. The story, characters, especially johnny, really sell it. The shooting is amazing and the role playing side is still decent. But the driving and the bugs need worked at. If you can live with the odd, say, once every two or three hour bug, youll enjoy this. If i think of anything else to add to this ill post in comments.
