Any game that lets me partake in the systemic destruction of the landlord class is a good game in my book!

A really good game given it's price! Very simplistic but sometimes that is all you need.

One of my childhood GOAT's! One of the few RTS games i actually like, and boy, do i like it!

It's less focused on a particular era of history and more on going throughout the ages, upgrading units from primitive slingers and javelin throwers all the way to spec ops and ICBM's! Each nation is also hilariously overpowered when played towards their strengths with two of my favorites being the Inca and Chinese. The Inca turn mountains into money printers and the Chinese can pump out an entire city's worth of civillians in a matter of seconds!

It also features a really good and varied soundtrack and multiple campaigns spanning the period of Alexander the Great's conquests to the Cold War.

Without irony one of the best games i own!

Its simple, addictive and incredibly fun and while the two sequels do a lot of things better, they also do a lot of things differently that might be less fun if you like CSD1's gameplay loop.

Basically, you run a restaurant and you serve orders. You serve orders by putting in various buttom prompts, each of which correspond with a particular ingredient. Its equal levels of stressful and fun as it can get very hectic during rush hour, which happens twice a day!

Some of the freaking recipes later on get so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ esoteric, you feel like you are putting in the Konami Code or something like that, as its all hotkey-based!

Owned it for about 8 years but only now decided to bother writing a review for it, still, i'll probably revisit it again one of these days and maybe become addicted all over again..

Get OpenRCT2 and find a way to port RCT1's scenarios (which are better in every conceivable way to 2's) into the game and you got the definitive 2.5D coaster builder!
