factorio but 3d and not procedural

It's a buggy mess, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is it well done. Base building is decent, pacing is not too fast, but doesn't feel grindy, you can go anywhere (but good luck surviving early on), lots of mechanics to dig into, and leezpunk, beegarde, elizabee, lunaris, loveander, katress, wixen, felbat, and anubis exist.

gold standard for co-op horror

visuals are not great by default, but can be made decent in my opinion (I hate the upscaling stuff and had to disable it manually. just give me 20 flat shaded polygons per object and I'll be happy), and it has a lot more focus on preachy conversations than the first, but there are new puzzle elements and a decent but relaxed difficulty ramp so far (25-30% through the game). The lore seems less in depth, mostly focusing on the other characters in the new world, but maybe that will change soon? Music is not the same style as the original, but the new style is very good and while not a wanted change, it's definitely not a negative and fits the feel of a civilization formed after the conclusion of the first game.

I have a very strong fear of murky water (or knowledge of large creatures in the water I'm in) and this game is an incredible rush because of that. I'm *constantly* on edge while playing this game, even with mid game items in the starter area. This game has legitimately triggered a freeze response in me quite a few times in the few hours I've played.

This game is one of the best logic sims I've ever played!

I've seen some people complaining about the lack of a tutorial, and that is somewhat valid. I will say that the game IS early access and a tutorial/campaign is planned. I would say that the community around this game (at the time of writing) more than makes up for the lack of a tutorial. If you find a server (best bet is the logic world discord server), then you have dozens of very capable people on call to help you out at a moment's notice with anything digital (no matter how simple or complex).

The game does have some very big bugs at the time of writing, but as I said, it is still early access and the first patch hasn't even been released.

If you can navigate around the bugs and find some friends to play with, this is one of the best sandbox games I've ever played (second only to minecraft and maybe gmod).
