Don't let my low hours fool you, I have put over 400 hours on this game on PS3 before I switched to be a PC gamer. Dark Souls is a game that took me 3 tires to get into. I found it too hard so I quit. Months later I came back, got a little farther, and got too frustrated. A year later I came back and did nothing short of fall in love.

The game is hard, don't let the elitists tell you to GG though, it certainly is dooable. IF you think something is too hard, try slowing down and thinking about exactly why you are dying, take a break, come back,m and wrek that demon a**.

One of my top games of all time. GG Dark Souls. You will always have a place in my heart.

As a veteran of the souls series I loved every minute of this game. It is a return to form with the mechanics mainly returning to the DkS1 way of doing things, with some improvements from the highlights of DkS2 and BB, and a surprising amount of Demon's Souls throwbacks too to make it all that much better. I never played KFII so I cant attest to that but the game is fantastic nonetheless.

I played this game back when it was in early access and put over half my hours there watching the game and stopped playing around when they starting adding a serious story (because I was getting burnt out, not cause it sucked). When I heard that the game broke EA and 1.0 released I almost immediately came back and fell in love all over again. One of the best games in the genera and a decent story to keep you involved.

Early Access Review
I had to to actually uninstall this game to keep me from dropping out of college to be a full time factory owner. 10/10

As someone who has never played a Monster Hunter game before and as someone who doesn't traditionally play grindy games, my hundred plus hours in the game is a good indicator that it might be a good game. If you are looking for a long game to play in either half-hour intervals or 6 hour blocks I would highly recommend the game to you.

Engaging story, tight controls, lovely characters, this game has it all. I loved every second I had with the game and the ending only left me with wanting more. 11/10 I recommend to anyone looking for a touching story, solid arpg combat, or just a good time.

I play it for D&D as well as just screwing around with card games. It's honestly not fantastic at anything, but it works 'aight for nearly everything.

There isn't much more that I can say about this game that others haven't already. It doesn't have the "punishing but fair" combat of Dark Souls, it doesn't have the beautiful artstyle of Ori and the Blind Forest, it doesn't have the feel brigade of Metal Gear Solid, and it certainly doesn't have a multiplayer mode.

So why do I like this game so much? Because of what it DOES have. CD Projeckt Red had painstakingly crafted this amazing dynamic world adapted straight from the novels. Does it take a few liberties, yes, but only to improve the gameplay. How did they do this you ask? They make every single quest matter. If you are a fan of "collect 34 wivern tails and 653 healing potions" this isn't a game for you. If you like quests that feel like they actually matter this might be for you. No quest in this game is designed for a random adventurer to swoop in and save the day, they are only what Geralt would do.

Help defend a woman from being attacked by monsters? Generic adventurer.

Read a help wanted board, show up to a woman in distress, haggle for a payment, search for clues, interrogate the villagers, track the beast, and finally realize it is harmless and convince it to leave? Geralt of Rivia!

Terraria is an odd game as it doesn't really fit into a category. It is kid friendly, but certainly isn't a kid game.

For starters: Everyone says it is "2D Minecraft" and while this has some truth to it, it doesn't tell the whole story. Minecraft is a game about building. Sure, it has enemies (and a "story") but people play it to create these structures and machines.

Terraria has that. It is only in 2D, but there are some things that change that a bit (walls, background objects, foreground objects, etc...) and there is MUCH MORE variety. Minecraft has 100+ unique blocks while terraria has 200+ unique blocks (with additional variations of several) on top of hundreds more placeable objects. If you want to build a complicated 3D house, Minecraft is for you, if you want to make a really cool looking building, Terraria is probably your thing. This isn't even mentioning the idea that you can make blocks slanted or cut in half.

The thing that sets this game apart though? The combat. There is 3 classes of weapons with a myriad of choices. you can build, explore, and fight in randomly generated worlds. I cannot recommend this game enough.
