An utter disgrace kinda sums it up. Before the Death Wish update it had potential and was genuinely fun. After though, the only logical explination for this abomination is that the developers/designers lobotomized themselves and went on to try and complete this game with a gaping hole inbetween their ears. They added 5 levels of prestige making a total of 500 obtainable levels, then they put penalties on people who would grind the same map to get the most exp which makes no sense. Not to mention that every mission is either you win and get a little exp or you fail and get nothing making the grind even more time consuming and frustrating. The developers need to understand that more levels doesn't mean more playtime, in fact the most fun I had with this game was when I hit level 100 and stopped caring about exp and cash.

Then they took away bodybags, because you can't move a body without $35k worth of duffle bags hurr durr, making stealth a complete and total gamble, that on top of the fact that every level is ridicously linear making it is impossible to be creative and truely stealth, and guards respawn giving you little to no room to manuever between them, adding more luck to something that should take skill. This means essentially half of this game is broken in one patch. The other half is just hurr durr more health and more damage enemies = more difficulty hurr durr... Another game design flaw being that you can't have a contingency plan. You either build for pure stealth and restart when the bugged "detection" system catches you, or just go in guns blazing fully armoured, or else get knocked down in two shots.

It's just a shame to see moronic developers ruin a game that I once loved, and that had serious potential, whilst also punishing its players for simply playing it and milking the rest with cash grab DLC after DLC. R.I.P. Payday 2, it was fun while it lasted.

TLDR: Developers ruined it with terrible game design decisions that punish the player by replacing skill and creativity with luck and exp deductions. Would not recommend post Death Wish patch.

it hurts to know you were last logged on over a thousand days ago... i miss our gaming sessions, raging about how broken payday was, how bad ppl were at tf2. something just made me think about you today. its absolutely crazy its coming up on three yeaars since we lost you. hope you got the most badass rig up there just make sure theres extra ethernet cords ready for when the gangs back together <333
